With all the commotion around sudoku these days I decided to give it a try and create a sudoku generator using flash actionscript. It worked out pretty nice and I decided to add another game I called soku. It's a kind of speed sudoku. Check out the instructions for more information.
Don't forget to check out the extras. There's a print option available which alows you to print 6 sokus or sudokus on a page for offline puzzling ^^.

The highscore system stores your highscores locally and they can be reset to the basic values in the options menu. The system works quite simple. The longer it takes you to finnish the puzzle, the higher you score, which in this case is bad, since a lower score gets you higher in the top 10 ;).

The instructions are available in two languages, English and Dutch, selectable in the options menu.

The little check bug has been fixed. A fully filled field that is correct but not the same as the generated answer is also accepted now. :)

update 2:
The print function works perfectly now

Very nice...

Nice enough to be stolen by a site that rhymes with peeBong's.

I digress into the review, Its cool that there are a lot of randomly generated sudokus, and that had i cool 3d intro, and, and and, and ect...

There are a lot of sudoku games but this one had more style in the setup of it. What was that thing with the score it was constantly going up.... well... good job!

Thanks for the concern mate, I know it has been stolen a lot, the funny thing about it is though that the version that resides here is not optimal. As you've probably read in other reviews it sometimes ends up with situations where you can have multiple solutions. The version that resides on my own website (which is protected from thievery), does not have that problem ;). Kind of the one positive thing that comes with the bug I guess.

The counting up was a little decision thing. I decided to make the score get higher instead of lower over time and the lower your score the better.

That's really good.

I don't care much for sudoku anymore, but I've got to say the design was beautiful, as were the transitions. I suggest that you add some cute music, or something, and it will be absolutely perfect.

Liked it but...

I like it but it could have used some background music and an easier way to pick the numbers. Sudoku forever!

nice, but...

Sudoku puzzles have always been symmetric, before filling in any numbers. And a correctly generated one will only have one possible answer. But other than that, nice game.

Ratings-wise, there wasn't much to cover other than interactivity.

That is if you are looking for a one way puzzle, but isn't it more fun to have a puzzle with multiple solutions? It makes it a little more unique, plus comparing the solutions of different persons on the same puzzle can give you insight in the way that person thinks and the persons power to connect. (That is if you print them and let the printed puzzles be solved by different persons.) So I don't really think there's much of a problem there ;) I'd say it just makes it more interesting and a little different for a change.
