The money you get increases as the game gets farther. It doesn't take till level 50 to get something good, you can get a new weapon about every 5 levels early on. So PLAY THE GAME BEFORE SAYING IT SUCKS YOU DON'T GET ENOUGH MONEY!

HINTS! Backshot is a vital weapon for the 3rd boss, so save up! Backshot also makes quick work of thos damn turrets!

Now people are complaining about not being able to move certain diagonal directions.

Damn people stop asking for color! It's SUPPOSED TO BE BLACK AND WHITE it gives it style! I MEAN COME ON! DO YOU EVEN THINK IT WOULD LOOK GOOD IN COLOR? It's not a game with the color sucked out. It's a game designed in black and white to look good only in black and white.

It's fun, but...

The ships that go off the side of the screen into oblivion on the Destroy a certain amount missions, and the ones that do the same thing, only to swerve up from the bottom while you're dodging a particularly gruesome wave of enemy fire kinda ruined it for me.

That, and I absolutely cannot kill the second boss. I have used the second level laser and the final level spread chain... the machine gun that fires wildly everywhere and eventually shoots the triangles.

The novelty gets old with missions that literally feel impossible. Games like this generally have 1 ship in missions that you know are supposedly impossible, which gives you a bigger rush. This one makes everything look extremely possible, and rips it away. Not a good feeling.

I did really like the black and white though. No comment on the music, my sound card's fried, lol.

Lower the boss difficulty, at the very least for the second one, and this game gets my 10. But for now...

Great game.

Very fun, a good way to pass time as well.

Also, all the totals for the levels, weapons, and everything are all multiples of 7. Do I get a prize for figuring this out? lol.

Frankly, I really could have done with some scripted enemies, waves, or shot patterns. I mean, the random functions behind some enemies were cool - the A-fighters, C-fighters, etc. But seriously, every single enemy in this game is driven by some sort of random function, if not others. The thing that really bugged me were the explodey-pods - that and the second boss. The absolute randomness of the enemies means that deaths are random as well. Being completely unable to predict enemy movement or shots leads to luck playing a greater role in player success than skill (and a non-existent learning curve), which is something that's incredibly frustrating in a top-scroller. At the very least, the AI shouldn't be so transparent that we can tell that it's a just a bunch of random functions.

The upgrade system is fun, but money is too scarce (yes, even in later levels. $5 an enemy by level 25 or something? Give me a break), and the levels are too long and monotonous - and just get longer and more tedious as the game goes on. I really feel that there should have been more types of enemies, and enemy rewards and power should have gone up a lot faster to keep the game interesting. I mean, it's cool that you have 70 levels; but when every single level is a clone of the same level with maybe a different enemy here or there, the game just isn't fun.

That being said, it's a solid shooter. The black-and-white choice was pretty interesting, and your ship designs were really cool.
