I could see this potentially becoming a desent game, but it seems to be lacking in alot. First needs sound, easy problem to solve. Second, develope some unique characters for the enemy and the player piece. Third off, work on the colour scheme. now I know that this wasn't intended on being a dramatic game, but building somesort of environment and or background would help the "playability" of your game.

I hope you won't give up on this, because you may beable to build this into a desent game. Use this as a test run, it's not ready for NG, sorry.
