work note: I did this for my school project. I started from 4 in the afternoon till 5 in the morning almost non stop, slept for 3 hours and got back to work till twelve. now my head is full of symbols.

A wonderfully soothing first submission.
Marklar-x has come and shown the people of Newgrounds that even when your a first timer you don't need to focus on the sticks and the fighting and warring that plague so many first time efforts.
A static scene, a few strategic sound effects and choice additions to the picture frame setting (a father raking, a flock of birds passing by), a light piano piece and a simple, simple concept is all he needs to relax and enrich the soul. I found myself transfixed to the screen, soaking it all in and never found myself impatient for it get on with it. Nor did I think it was too short or need more story to tell by the end.
Certainly there is room for improvement. The graphics can be much improved. A dynamic camera could certainly add to it (moving around the house, or moving in on close ups). There also could have been more things going on during the piece (a child playing in the leaves, a barbecue in the summer). I also noticed the lack of a replay button at the end of the piece and the preloader did not work properly as we cold not see how fast the loading was taking place (possibly because of the white background). Certainly every animation benefits from having both but this is all nitpicking really. It is a beautiful piece the way it is. It will not win any awards here but you don't need them to showcase what you got.
You sir have much potential, with all the violence that goes on, Newgrounds needs more animations like this one. I hope this will not be your only submission.

Man, you did a great job for being a noob, keep that style you got, its pretty nice, the music, is great, nice selection, also, for the drawngs, your choice on colors were great
Good soothing sound and style
Good choice of piano music. Good style. Thanks for not submitting another boring game-related movie with gratuitous violence or gunplay.
One suggestion: Explain somehow through graphics why the family comes and goes seasonally. Is this a summer retreat? And why does the vehicle drop them off? Is it a taxi?

Nice and simple
I liked the style. It was simple enough to be soothing, but not too simple and bad. The only things I can see that need improvement are the snow and walking, but this will come with experience. The choice of music was perfect, and this was a very soothing submission. Well done and I hope to see more from you in the future.
