cool
not bad movie.
My first paperflash! Everything in this movie exists out of drawings on paper. It's About a "man" whos makes a scarecrow, enjoy..
ps. If the movie runs slow, please tell me, it's kinda heavy. You can run it in bad quality though, the drawings won't change.
cool
not bad movie.
goood stuff
You can't get away with doing anything weird like this anymore cos people immediately compare you to David Firth. It's predictable, and irritating. So I won't.
I thought it was well drawn, and you obviously put a lot of effort in so it gets full points for graphics and style. Your music was clean and effective, and the story was to the point.
Make more!
THANKS! Finally someone who judges the movie itself and not the genre :). I don't now why people compare it and say its ripped of or somehing.. I mean: there are hundreds of finall fantasy parodies and nobody seems to care about that. My movie isn't even based on an existing story or existing characters. So thanx for your honest judgement:).
It was alright ...
It was alright ... it's definitely a 'grab' from David Firth's style (Roof Tiling.) I don't think thats' the worst thing in the world. I do think it needs some work. Not as clean as David, if you wanna consider that the 'bar.' I do like the genre. I am down with the Horror / Thriller thing.
Late,
'The PP'
I love davids work but please, stop comparing my movie to his. It are both paperflashes drawn in black and white..that's all. I know his work is a lot "cleaner" but he's making flashes a liiiitle longer than i do (I'm making flash movies for about 3 weeks now). Anyway, thanx for your review, greetZ.
Right...
A few points, I know they say that imitation is the best form of flattery, but a copy of someone else's style is almost always a bad thing. Make your on style if you want to be successful. Also David Firth just has a good feel to his drawings, yours just seems palastic, flat. I know you tried your best to make it look like Firth's cartoon but you wil never get to his standards in this style. You have promise and I think you can do better, much better...
It wasn't my goal to imitate david, I just wanted to make my own flash, and other then others..I don't like making videogame or pokemon spoofs:), i'm a really big fan of thrillers and horror (i'm not a gothic if you may think that, i like happy stuff to:P), and because my drawing in flash doesn't look that great I decided to make a paperflash. My goal with this movie was to give the viewer a feeling, creating an atmosphere, and according to a lot of other reviewers, i accomplished in that. And please don't come with the "make-your-own-style" argument... If we look at flashes in that way, NOTHING is oroginal anymore.
v nyc
i love tha style ov your drawing and reely dark feel to this flash... nice :)
