Robots aren't supposed to have emotions...
However, perhaps robots can be conscious of the fact that they lack something essential that humans have and sometimes take for granted, or perhaps they can have emotions and not be aware of it...

-Daily second place! Well, I'm thrilled but the robot is pretty indifferent about it.
-Thank you Tom, for featuring this on the frontpage! (March 19th-21st)

Just... Wow.

I don't review much, but I had to commend you on this flash. Stunning style and graphics. The music and visuals were almost chilling with how well they went together. Absolutely beautiful work.

Thank you. This will be going on my favorites list. Take care.

BlackmarketKraig responds:

Thanks so much!
You're right, you don't review much...
Makes me feel extra special.
^tee hee^

This is, hands down, the best animation i have ever seen on Newgrounds. Alien Hominid was my favorite until tonight...

BlackmarketKraig responds:

That's just about the most impossibly sweet review I've read!

Thanks for reviewing!

I Liked It. I think I Understand It To. I Was Very Moving, I Hope You Make More In the Future.

BlackmarketKraig responds:

Thanks so much. I think you understood it too! ^_^

Thanks for reviewing! :D

Lovely graphics and animation, but the whole scenario was a tad on the cliche side. Yes, robots don't have feelings. How sad. Although we could note that there MIGHT be a possibility that the robot cannot feel sad that it does not have feelings.

And as for me...yes, I've been upset all week that I cannot process these equations at optimal efficiency. Blast, another inequality! Curse my human brain! The computer's where it's at!

BlackmarketKraig responds:

So I've heard... bah! Oh, well... :P

There MIGHT indeed be that possibility... the larger issue, I believe, is why does the robot feel sad and empty regarding his lack of emotion...

Like many people I've known (especially in the "hospital") the robot thinks he is "numb" or "empty" when in fact he is quite sad and in a lot of pain...
...but like I've said "robots aren't supposed to have emotions."
So he believes that he does not. A slave to to an ideal? Maybe... I'm too drunk to think more about that right now.

And yes, computers, when programmed to do something properly, do make things much more efficient. However they will never (I should hope) create our most stirring music and art, those things come from something that can not be defined by an equation.

Thanks for reviewing! :)

Very moving

I find this a very deep poem about hate for oneself.
Sad but beautiful

BlackmarketKraig responds:

Self-loathing is what I do best! :P

Thanks for reviewing and for the ten!
