Cute?

I thought this was a pretty good animation for a music video. Good job. Also, my girlfriend thought it was very, very cute...So i'm giving you a good review. word.

Invisiduck responds:

thanks, i`m getting that response with alot of peoples girlfriends, cheers

Not bad, but needs more work...

For one thing, congratulations on a good concept. Innocent, and enjoyable for -- I hope -- everyone. The music is good and the ideas were clever with having animals come in as more instruments came in. he problem is that they just weren't in sync. It was certainly very /close/ but the beat matching would throw off and then it just looks a bit messy. Even the cymbal monkey, which really should have been double-checked, I think. I really enjoyed it, but since the whole /point/ is that it's a music video I can't give it high marks.

I think the best advice I can give is to avoid using 'graphics' and 'movie clips' as they don't sync with the audio even if it's set to stream. I'm afraid the only way to really keep the audio matched frame for frame, even in flash, is to do all the tweening and stuff on the main scene. Though, you can still make it look good by 'reseting' the movie clips evey few beats. (copy and paste the frame, reseting the animation to frame one on the beat)

Invisiduck responds:

thanks for the advice, and in response to the syncing, it was synced, until i updated the graphics from my last version, apart from the mice on the cymbals, they were never going to be synced together no matter how hard i tried, but it seemed that making the backgrounds and characters more complex whilst trying to stream didnt work very effecrtivley, i will strive to make myself better, cheers
