School Compilation

This is the compilation of eight of my nine flash movies from school. All of the movies are made appropriate for school, so if you're looking for sick humor or bloodshed, turn away. Most of the movies are short because the assignments were given 2-3 days for completion each, and my classes are about 45 minutes long. So, if they quality doesn't seem the same as my others movies( which are crap as well :D) this is why. Also, the deal with some of the audio is that I had to use prefabricated music from our "best" sound program at school, Sound Companion(SUCKS ASS). Okay, enough blabbing now, just watch the movie and try to take into consideration that this was all made at school with about three hours to each movie.

Interesting collection

There are so many various parts to this it makes it harder to rate.
The art work could use some help. Tha animation is ok could be a bit better. If they all had somethign in comon I think this would be better.

ironbreath responds:

Hmm, well thank you. I'm kind of surprised to hear about the artwork, most. Most people around me,(friend or not) think that my artwork on and off computer is quite nice(although this does not invalidate your opinion). The main reason none of the clips had anything to do with eachother is that they were all seperate assignments from school. Thank you for the review and constructive criticism, I appreciate feedback.

keep it in the school

this is stuff that should stay an assignment and not as a portal submission. if you focus one storyline or sumthing then i think that could be submitted

ironbreath responds:

You're the second person to have said this. I think you were right, although this submission wasn't blammed. My question to you, is what exactly is it that you didn't like about this submission, I like it when people are more specific about things. Either way, thank you for the review/feedback.

School projects are for school.

Some bits were great for a school project, but it doesn't quite cut it.

ironbreath responds:

True, yes. I guess I mainly used this to test out my newly acquired knowledge of actionscript(the main menu). I know, it's something pretty basic but I'm just now starting to get into actionscript again.

You need to work on it

Whilst that would be an OK submission to be released to a children's school, you have to make it more interesting in order to keep their attention. For example, that lousy dog's mouth just kept constantly moving, and little to no noises were made save for the appearance of the items to be added. You need to also make the children guess what the answer is otherwise they could just simply watch the whole video and be bored flatout as they didn't have to do anything. By involving them in the thing, it would make it a lot more appealing to them.

Additionally, you need a bit of a graphical makeover, as many of the things looked very blotchy and unappealing, you have to attract the audience's attention.

ironbreath responds:

Wow. I really appreciate the constructive criticism. Seriously, I enjoy hearing what people serious think I can improve upon, especially in such a well mannered way. I'll take what you said into consideration with my later movies. Thank you very much for the review.

I agree with the previous reviewer.

The commercial, oh my word, spontaneously funny. THIRSTY BEAR!! The first one was too boring and too long to appreciate. Anyway, you could make some really good stuff if you put some good sounds into it and... well... more than 3 hours of effort I guess. See you later!

ironbreath responds:

Yeah, more than three hours would have been nice, then again I like making movies of my choice rather than busy work assigned by a teacher. Thanks for the review.
