Alright, I liked the point and the atmosphere but the drawings were just plain disgusting. The only thing that looked like what it is in real life is the magnum. Please, work on your drawings.
A piece of Noir set during the cold war. The events are of course fictional. Volga is drawn ''free hand'' and is a combination of tweens and frame by frame drawing. The music is Gnossienne No 1 by Erik Satie and i think it fits the mood perfectly. Please write reviews and give creative criticism.
Hope you enjoy my first submission!

Quality, like the cold war setting, its unusual for a noir. Music was brilliant, nicely atmospheric. Credits sequence at the start was very effective, and it worked as part of the story as well. Nothing worse than endless credits that add nothing to the story. Graphics were attractive though a bit spartan..if I may suggest perhaps working on your drawing a bit. I know how simple you have to keep characters for frameby-frame, but there wasn't a lot of it, so I think maybe you could be a bit more ammbitious with the drawing. Also in a couple of shots there were detailed drawings like the revolver and the assassins head that were shrunk and re-used..it doesnt really work. Anyway I loved the angles, the movements, the way the shots were set up, ect. keep it up.
well..
it was great concidering its free hand, I think that shows true talent right there. But the thing I didnt like was that the assassin was more of a one man wrecking crew, rather then an assassin. But other then that it was pretty good, i especially liked how its old school and there is no talking, just words.
Can people please write reviews properly.
Yeah Hi rob,
Despite the fact i have my hyper critical hat on still, I geniunly thought that this being the first thing you did it is very impressive. The music almost became the characters leit motif, echoing the mood of piece wonderfully. The story was impressive, and I thought the fact that you didn't add voices worked well. T
My only quibble is with the fact the assasin killed so many characters with guns, that when he finally killed his target at the end, it wasn't as striking as it could have been. However, I am really impressed.
I think people should stop being cunts as well and start writing reviews with real fucking words.

Quite good for a first one.
The one thing why i watched this was the name Volga-a car that not everyone had in the soviet times. But my question is WHY did you name it volga,i mean there was only a few seconds you could see it AND it was drawn pretty crappy.Hope you make something else and better.
totally misunderstood. Volga may be a Russian car but it is also the name of the biggest river in russia. The movie is set next to the river, it is the river you see at the end with the moonlight shining down on it!
