EDIT 2: Woohoo! NG Homepage!
The result of many months of work, Pixelville Pensioners is a graphic adventure game using ZX spectrum graphics and sound effects!

This will bring back some memories for some people!

Music by myself and Samba Lucas

it was alright

i couldnt find everything and the hints sucked and it was also to family friendly, but the interactivity was excellent so i will give it that. more violence and mild nudity and explicit language would be good. oh and will you please resolve the contest?

gavD responds:

Violence, nudity and swearing would be pointless in this type of game - Monkey Island didn't need it. My other games are more violent if that's what you're into.

I'm not sure what you mean by resolve the contest... You need to upgrade your sprite to be multicoloured by visiting the professor to win the contest.

Good work!

Hey i loved the game but i only found one problem and your hints didnt help either. I found where the stick and jar and everything was but i couldnt find the drill. I know that i need to ask the miner but i didnt know how to get his hat clean. i thought of using the jar and the well to get water to clean but it said "that doesnt work" and i tried the same with the sink in the gents bathroom. So i was wondering if you can help me out here? But otherwise great job and i cant wait for the sequel!

gavD responds:

Get the TP from the bathroom

Sorry, that puzzle is a bit cryptic.

I <3 it! ...... in 35 min. & 48 secs.

great game... I got a little lost with the whole donkey thing and then the drill =S who knew tp could help so much lol anyways can't wait until the sequel and next time I won't even cheat a little or take breaks in between ^-^

gavD responds:

Nice one Kitty_Goth! I'm working on several projects at the moment, and Pixelville 2 looks like being the second of those to come to fruition.

I like this RPG game

I was looking for a sprite sgame until I found this.Oh yeah when I found out about how to complete it, My time was 3 minutes and 26 seconds

gavD responds:

Thanks kpkrewat! The sequel is well underway...

you did it again

Its me again. playing, rateing and reveiwing another one of your fine games. iam always pleased with your work gavD. It took me a few minutes to figure out what to do with this game but once i found that pesky stick it was all good. cant wait to see more of your work. Wouldnt mind seeing a choose-your-own-adventure type game from you in the future. Those types of games are very fun and we dont have many on the net, iam sure you would do a great job with a game like that. oh and btw, i applaud you for responding to all your reviews. it shows us you really care about our input on your work.

gavD responds:

Thanks dude,

A sequel to Pixelville is well underway and is probably 50% complete; I just need an artist for some of the scenes (the guy I had lined up has vanished).

As for review responses, I try to respond to them all because people have taken the time to get in touch, and I appreciate that. I learn a lot from reading reviews of my work.

My next game to be released is likely to be a strategy game - I can't disclose too much about it right now, but it's shaping up to be pretty good!
