This is just a quick puzzle game I threw together for my class. You must create a simple program to guide Bill the Robot through each level and pick up the computer chips therein. The kids dug it, so I thought I'd throw it up here.

For instructions, click on the question mark in the lower right-hand corner.

I am truly astounded by the amount of views this has gotten. Thanks to everyone for the helpful reviews! I am currently working on Bill2, and will take all of your critiques into consideration.

A Great game!

Oh, and dmatthewsband9, you cán delete a move one by one. Just put the blank command in the "commands" menu on top of the movement you want to delete in the main program. Then it becomes an empty command. Or, if you already an idea of what has to stand in the place of the incorrect command, just pick the right command out of the "commands" menu and put it on top the incorrect command in the "main program" menu in the middle. (This 'manoevre' can also be performed with commands in the "subroutine" menues.)

Thats really cool, reminds me of that thing with the triangle/turtle where you give it simple commands to move it. The graphics were a little poor, but then the good game made up for that, i suggest you make some more levels, another thing i would like is recursion(eg being able to call subroutine 1 from subroutine 1) of course youd have to make the game end as soon as all chips are collected and have a stop button, to avoid the infinite loops. I had to turn my speakers down because the sound drove me crazy after a bit. But yeh, keep up the good work ;)

great game

ok, first off I love this kind of game so i have a bias, but I loved it. I'm sure other people have said all this stuff, and you probably won't even read this, but here are my suggestions:
-make the robot faster.
-designate the early levels as training levels and make them skipable.
-make more levels (i only found 9 to be any challenge at all).
-make a scoring system of some kind (based on how many commands you needed to use).
-a wider variety of levels would be nice (i never found any use for the backup command)
-interactive terrain and/or more actions. Things like conveyor belts that move you 1 square per turn while u are on them, crushers that crush every 3 turns, blocks u have to push, doors you can only pass when you pickup a key/push a button, etc.
-this wouldn't work for flash, but a level editor would be very cool

For the guy before me or anybody else with the same problem: there is a draggable blank square to erase program slots, or you can just draag a new command over top of the one you don't like.

For those of you having trouble with 9, don't forget you can call sub 2 from both sub1 and the main program.

If some of these changes were made, I would definitely pay money for this game.

Pretty cool Game

That was a pretty cool game. The graphics and sound were realistic and high-quality. The only problem I found was that the robot moved a little too slow. Other than that, it's a geat game.

Awesome submission

This game is great, it has an awesome concept and it really makes you think. Very challenging, I really liked it a lot. It really takes a lot to program something this good, this was not an easy actionscripting feat. Congratulations.
