Hiro Shitaku

Yes... while Hiro Shitaku is fictional (means, not real...), the remaining goodness in this "edu-mation" (at over seven minutes long) is accurate, and with a bit of comedy, will explore the history and techniques of the Japanese animation industry. I had a lot of fun making it, and I hope everyone enjoy's watching it!

** Disclaimer: to avoid confusion, Hiro was not a real person. However, all of the techniques discussed in this film were instead created by the industry as a whole to deal with their insane production quotas. Learn, laugh, but please don't take this film 100% seriously. Sorry.

Thats it?

I am greatly disappointed, not only in the lack of credable information, but also in the fact that it was not humorious.
It wasn`t just thought up most of those styles have been used since the dawn of animation.
Go back and look at the old show "Tobor the 8th Man" or "Astroboy" or old "Lupin III" those have been around for ages and imployed even simpler techniques.
In short it wasn`t funny, true or entertaining.
I suggest you know what you`re talking about befor you start to teach others.

I hate it when people mispronounce the word "Manga", you sound like a fool.

Turning japanese!

whoa nice edumation movie u probably got an A+ well...who cares?! im so drunk -.-

Very Intresting

I have been a fan of Anime and Manga since before you could find it in any common store and you've taught me things I guess knew but never realized. With that I can now give more respect to the wonderful, skillful, and grueling task of Animation. Besides that the Flash was really well done from Focus to Graphics to sound all very well done. Although your ending song (which I like as well) always stiked me as making fun of the Japanese since then I've grown to dislike it.

Great documentry!

That really told you a lot about animation!

Great teachings

and it had very good pointers too
