A while back I had a pretty tough break-up with my girlfriend - Ahmed. It was so upsetting I felt the only way to express myself was in the creation of a Flash Cartoon. This completely sums up all of my feelings, fears and emotions aswell as my political standing.

Now that's strange...

I have to praise you for having such good animation. The only problem was that I really had no idea at all what was going on. Don't get me wrong, I love stuff like Animutation which is also quite incomprehensible. The thing is that those works are more creative and they go places with their surrealism. This is still not bad, because you can't deny it's unique and took a lot of creativity. The funniest part was probably how "Mississippi" was spelled.

While there isn't a lot of going on, it's still a collage in its own right. The characters just seem to have random objects for body parts. In fact, one character even acknolwedged that happened. You have at least done all the hyper surrealism folks out there justice. I just did not think that it was executed in the best way.

best part

the little song at the end. just.

reminds me of the Saucepan Song. You know. the one Calcifer Sings.

Awesome

I loved it, especialy that "bloody pinch penny gypsy" line, classic gold!

"No women, no kids..."

Heh... you mention a breakup with your girlfriend whose name is "Ahmed"... in your author comments... and then people don't seem to immediately grasp that this whole thing isn't meant to be taken seriously? Hell, I knew it wasn't when I saw the freakin' title on the portal's most recent list soon after it was submitted.

Anywho, been meaning to get around to reviewing this for the past 10 days or so, and here I am to break your reviewless streak, woo hoo.

Idaho, Mississippissippi sounds like a great place. You get to talk to blue-faced old cowboys with pans for right hands (that later turn into toasters) who point revolvers at you while you converse with them at the bar... Not to mention the robot with female human legs in fishnet stockings holding a chicken with the voice of Jean Reno... Also not to mention the fish-headed busty Scottish waitress. Or whatever she was meant to be, exactly.

And finally, the song the two patrons end up singing... such a lovely saloon duet. Quite inspirational. Ah, the wonderful insanity of their filking of Scarborough Fair.

And the best, I had no idea, was yet to come. The chicken... the chicken is actual Jean Reno! Ahhh, as a fan of his work in the Professional (aka Leon) and Mission Impossible, you have no idea of the wide smile his line from the former brought to my face. Such a perfect way to end this masterpiece. And yes, "thanks for being there, Jean" indeeeeed...

Posstak responds:

Finally someones who actually gets what I was doing! You pretty much got it spot on there. None of it was meant to be taken seriously and was made to be as non-sensical as possible. Glad you enjoyed it, you my friend are a genius and a gentleman.

Woohoo!

All right!! A Yak Flash!! Niiiice! It's all about the Yaks!!!

oh wait, there isn't a damn yak in the whole thing.

and there's a toaster hand... and a fish with boobs... and a robot with fishnet stockings...

eh, I'm giving you points for the pirate voice, man.

Sure could have used some yaks though... and I have no idea what this has to do with anything you said in your description whatsoever. I'm thinking that's a joke.

Posstak responds:

Well done, it is a joke.
