The score lies! I cannot set my words to numbers!
Not a bad way of showing part of it. But it seemed overly static. Odysseus just STOOD there. Um, these were people. HE WOULD'VE TRIED TO DO SOMETHING. Unless the book says he just stood at the prow throughout, I doubt he'd've done so.
Plus, there was supposed to be a monster at tyhe bottom of the whirlpool as well. Think of how much suspense would have hung over the sailors' souls as they passed between two deadly dangers! At least you could have showed some sailors' eyes as well, darting back and forth, and drips of sweat dribbling from their brows. It seemed far too apathetic.
Plus, a tip - an authentic, traditional Ancient Cretan rhythm : in 5/4.
Rhythm: BOOM bah Boom Boom bah | BOOM bah Boom Boom bah | etc.
Accents: BIG small med med small | BIG small med med small | etc.
Try it for drums!
