Coming up on 15 years later, and this remained in my memory enough that I went actually searching for it today. Couldn't find it on Youtube which was surprising--everything is on Youtube!--and I began to wonder if it wasn't just something I only thought I'd remembered.

Then I did a general search. This is, so far as I can tell, only on Newgrounds. And it still entertains to this day.

The animation isn't really the focus on these stickfight videos, it is literally ALL about the direction. Some, almost all in fact, go with choreography (Xiao Xiao comes to mind) to impress. A few aim much, much higher--and you nailed this. Whatever you're up to these days, Dwarfer-Stu, godspeed!

Not overused!

Stick flashes will simply always be with us, my friend, as long as people keep coming up with new ways to use them! That being said, this was a fantastic way to use stick flashes. I was able to keep up with the time travel for about a minute, but then it suddenly got so crazy I gave up. I am sure that everything makes sense and I love it how everything comes together in one complicated thing! The action by itself is great and it helps that it is presented in such a cool manner. Orange is my favorite color next to blue.

This animation is the best!

I found this flash many years ago in ugoplayer and i still remembered its name when i put it in google! this is the best animation i have ever seen and i have always wondered:

-How much time did it take to make it... ?
-I wonder if i could do something similar... ?
-wow! this thing's maker must be talented!

well i tried to make something similar with flash and... I FAILED MISERABLY!

Timefight is such a great flash. It was one of the first flash videos I've ever seen, and when I saw it, it was hella awesome. I decided to check it out again after a few years... because I remember how cool it was... well, I watched it again, and... it's still awesome. The backstory is creative, even though it took a few seconds, and what's with the chick? She just automatically loves him, after he kicks major ass, and kills everyone? Whatever, the story's not all important, it's all about the action and animation, and trust me when I say, that it's awesome... the art and storyline work so well with each other, that I honestly don't care about the fact that stick figures replace the actual characters. I also found myself laughing at some of the scenes like the T-Rex tail... and the first time he goes back in time.... overall, this film was just as great as it was years ago... and is a must for fans of xiao xiao, and well, I guess... any action film. Good Job.

Very Entertaining

Ingenious idea, if i must say. brilliantly made and exciting. The fights were intense, the animation was great, and it was just very well done overall. The only thing that kind of annoyed me was the music. it was good for the setting and theme, but just got a bit too repetitive. other than that it was very enjoyable and impressive.
