*EDIT* Well, this being a Daily Feature sure is a pleasant surprise! Thank you to all who voted on this. I've also included a brand new loader.

This movie is about people's parents/grandparents who (undeservingly) get placed into nursing homes and become forgotten, only to die of loneliness.
Effluo is Latin. It means "to vanish", or "to be forgotten". Really, this is the result of my own grandmother's death a few months ago. We cared dearly for her, and took care of her 'till the very end, but it got me thinking... what about the other people? Who comes to see them before they die?

Sons and daughters should take care of their parents, they raised them )

the best !

The best non - humorous movie I have seen on newgrounds. Awesome job really !

Excellent point made

I rated the story a 0 for humor since this movie is definetely considered a drama and not meant to be funny.
Good job!

this was a really sad movie, even without words this movie really showed the meaning to it what was going on and the emotion set to it. the music really set the emotion to tthe movie. the reason i rate the humor to not be as high is because the ony thing i found slightly funny was the way you drew the old lady, i loved the illustrations.

Hey now, I was thinking of my own grandmother when I made this! :)
Thank you for the review. This was my first honest attempt at channeling my own feelings through Flash animation, and it seems to have worked. I think it was this animation that marked what style I was going to start using, too.
Thank you again, and I'm glad you liked this.

!
