Perhaps i missed the point

A circle spends half the movie moving round a poorly drawn environment, it finds a square, they both go back through the same tedious environment, they find a house and live happily ever after.
From my perspective it appears you were trying to achieve something emotional through symbolism, but the tedious moving made it just tiresome.
