A corrupt businessman with mafia ties is visited by an unwelcome guest.

Philosophy (do not read until afterwards)-

Whenever I write a story, I always try to throw in little nuances for people to catch. With this tale, however, well... the thing's friggin' loaded, for your viewer enjoyment.

For anyone interested and/or familar with Greek Mythology, the guy that takes Baxter Powell away is the modern day Charon, the ferryman of the dead. If you'll notice, his briefcase bears the insignia of his double hammer.

Also, on the bookshelf are the scales of justice. There's a lot of character blocking (putting people either on the left of the right of someone or something to resemble either the noble or the ignoble character). He pulls up in a limo (the ferry of the roads). The dialogue also contains many little subtlties for you to goggle over.

Anywho, that's all I have for now.

Pretty good

I thought it was a pretty good animation. Everything was very smooth and detailed. Some parts I think you animated extremely well, and others looked a bit artificial (the scene where you have the feet walking in the beginning looks odd), but as a whole, it wasn't bad at all. There are only two things I think you should really change. One thing would be to make the voices louder and a bit more clear. I had to watch it through twice to really understand what they were saying. The other thing I think really *needs* to be changed would be the part where he gets the letter, and you show it for everyone to read. It flips through too fast for those of us who don't read instanteously. I really think you need to slow that part down a bit so we can really understand. After seeing it twice, I can only make out 'damned' cuz it's in red, and something in ALL CAPS that flashed in and out too quickly to read and process. Other than those two things, I think it was a pretty good movie. You could easily have a real winner on your hands.

SketchMichaels responds:

Thanks for the suggestions. I thought, with the text, to have it only long enough for the "damned" to show up, and his name... as the rest was just filler, actually :)

I thank you for the constructive criticism, it shall not be wasted.

The animation was fantastic (except for when the old guy with the glasses was walking to the lift, he had no legs LOL). Although it was a bit hard to hear and understand the voices though, and the note was too quick to read. But really it was a great flash. :D

SketchMichaels responds:

Ha... yeah, I'm going to have to find where the legs went. The joys of working under pressure, eh?

Thanks for the review. I'll have this puppy updated in no time.

Very nicely drawn and smoothly animated, good story. My only real complaint is the volume was too low. Keep it up man.

This was pretty good

I know it could be smoothed out a bit...
1. of mr. powell will his head or his
2. The voices were scratchy and hard to make out...
other than that i loved the plot and everything...keep up the good work.

SketchMichaels responds:

Good news, his head is intact! Heh.

Glad you liked the concept... sorry about the sound (beats head on wall). Methinks voice actors are going to be called upon for the next movie. Thanks for the review.
