And for my second act, my contest entry for the Mario VS. Sonic contest over at VGDC. Note that everything in this movie was used WITH PERMISSION (and I'm not just talking about the sprites...;), I tried to make it not entirely sprite-based, so you'll see a couple of hand-drawn (well, mouse-drawn, anyway) animations as well. For all of the hand-drawn images in this flash movie, I used original pictures for reference. Hope you like it! :D
PS. Apologies to Strawberry Clock. You'll see why. ;)

Not quite what I was expecting but it wasn't bad at all. Yeah, okay, a little slow, but who the fuck cares, seriously? 8 should suffice for ya I think. Would've given ya a ten if there was a warning as to the rest of the appearances but overall pretty cool, funny, and not sketchy at all. Really liked it.
What a contest!
I think that this should have been the winner of the contest, as it is simply one of the best Mario Vs. Sonic things I have ever seen. I love how you can just say that you hate sprite movies and go to the part where Mario and Sonic die. The music is also fantastic and fast paced. I have no idea how a giant robots managed to get into this, but it is something I like a lot! I also like how there just seem to be a lot of things going on that all wrap up at the end. In terms of StrawberryClock, all he did was get hit by a gun, and I do not think that is that bad.
