you don't need to keep bumping the thread, we'll dig it up when we have something to say.

as for you signature, it's good, but it misspelled "vegetarian"

well hello! just found this thread and YAY!

i am vegetarian, have been for almost 12 years. i like to go as vegan as possible but hard to give up cheese and you really do need eggs for baking... :<

i just made awesome xmas cookies with tofu and wheat flour! nom nom nom!
and i love the sig, but it would be better with the spelling fixed for "vegetarian"...i'd totally rock that haha!

A mate of mine found out I was veggie at like an organised Christmas meal yesterday and he was always prodding and taking the piss and I obviously argued back; the thing is though I'd been arguing about it with some other mates at the pub beforehand (they initiated it again - not that I mind proselytising but I don't initiate it) and they were all like 'oh my God shut up and stop asking him about his vegetarianism we don't want this argument twice in a week' but eventually some of them were like 'you're making me feel bad now Kevin' when I was saying 'all the different meats you guys are eating tonight came directly from a factory farm and that animal lived an unbelievably miserable life due to your food habits' and making people feel bad is basically victory

I was far more able to convince a female than a group of males though, it's not really surprising girls are more often vegetarians really because they've got smarts in the right areas

Well, I tried boca's black bean chipotle patties and they are yummy, especially with some vegan sour cream. The only other fake meat I eat is vegan chicken patties and I eat those with tomatoes, poppyseed bagel, sprouts and sometimes spinach and sometimes an olive and once in a while lettuce but the sammich is so yummy.

Sounds delish.

Hah, well not really. But sort of. I was interested in Caroline when I went vegetarian, and we started dating soon after. So I didn't really win her over with it. Doesn't matter anyways, we broke up a month later :(.

Plus I'd date a non-vegetarian (though I'd probably try to get her to be veg haha)

I just hope you stick with it after a while for other reasons and stuff. Ya know?

Haha I've wanted to be vegetarian for ages, Caroline was just the catalyst. I don't plan on compromising my principles.

It's kind of funny; when I wasn't vegetarian, I hated lettuce/tomato on my burgers. Now I eat my veggie burgers with all the toppings and I love it.

HOW ODD.

I totally love originality, me. It's so good when I read something that I didn't hear first in November 2001. Your jokes come from before we went into Iraq. If Jesus returns, the only thing he'll recognise is your (stolen) jokes.

wow that does not make any sense at all. Oh well I'll everyone my reasons for going veg:

1. I do not want to support slaughter houses

2. the health benefits (a well planed vegetarian diet can be VERY healthy and you are can't get mad cow disease)

3. I know where the meat comes from, and can imagine what happened to get the meat in front of me (not graphic but I have a thought of it)

I'd imagine that having a vegetarian wife would make everything a lot easier hahaha. My cat's a vegetarian too, but that's because she doesn't know how to eat meat. If you hand her table scraps, she'll just sniff and lick it.
