my tech teacher is a russian guy who won a gold medal in the olympics (and proved it in class with his crazy russian gymnastic skillz) who told us that if we could each build our own computers with the parts he gave us, he'd let us play games on them (specifically counter-strike, and some other rts games ppl brought in) for a month. The computers were easy as fuck to build, and we got xp installed on all of them, set up a lan, set up a dedicated cs 1.6 server all in one day, and for the rest of that month we didn't do SHIT. (except play games, i mean)
i got a 95 in that class.
speaking of cool teachers, my science teacher is a former ufc fighter, who's rich (dead) grandfather left him a shitload of money and now he's rich and he'd like give money in class. it was pretty sick. like, he'd (every other week or so) ask us a difficult question that we'd only really be able to answer if we were one page ahead of the curriculum, he'd give us like 10 bucks. and he was a damn good teacher, we were the smartest science class, finished the whole course 2 weeks early, and ended up playing soccer outside every science class for the last 2 weeks.
this year/semester though, sucks dick for me.
