I used to listen to Legends as a kid and I still listen to it all the time. Three Little Birds has to be one of the best songs ever made.
BOB MARLEY IS TEH SHIT! etc, etc...
I love reggae.
Obviously, Bob Marley is one of my favorites. But, besides him, I listen to SOJA and Rebelution, and a few others.

I'm probably going to a Pepper show this sunday. Anybody hear of them? They're pretty much a ska reggae band..

one of my favorites! They come down to where i live all the time too. Not old enough to go to any shows yet tho :/ 1 more year!
Awesome idea. Reggae is very simple, relaxing, and meaningful music, at least for me. The magic of it, in my opinion, is how even sad reggae songs (such as "Redemption Song", "54-46") always make me smile. And, of course, the accent is a big part of this music.
My favorite Reggae Musicians -
- Bob Marley (and The Wailers)
- Los Caparos (Ska-ish, but they are pretty awesome)
- Soul Train (Best "Three little birds" cover, not considering Bob Marley's version)
- Soulful Dynamics ( I SHOW YOU HOW TO REGGAE)
- The Upsetters (In the Laah)
- Rudy & Susan (Only Heaven Can Wait)
And my favorite reggae song of all time is, without any doubts, "No Woman No Cry".
Forgot to add, I'm working on a cover for "I Shot The Sheriff". If anyone's interested, contact me!
I dont think there needs to be any official "members" because this club is inactive except for a few posts a year. This is mainly a place to talk about the kind of music we like. Unfortunately this club will die :( but who knows, maybe something will happen.
Not pure reggae, but what do you lot think of this tune?

Can we talk about Dub here? I used to really be into dub a few years back, and recently started to listen again. I popped in a Scientist album and was wondering if anyone else could recommend some dub artists. I know of King tubby and few others.

I really wish this was a genre I knew more about, especially the niche up and coming artists because tbh I only know the major ones :( If you want check these if you've not heard before -
Eak-A-Mouse, Half Pint, Marley, Sizzla, Anthony Johnson, Toots & the Maytals, Yellowman :)

Finding real dub is incredibly difficult online, a lot of music I've found which is supposedly in the 'Dub' genre is just plain reggae. That said, it's worth it when you do find a good track.
Toots & the Maytals
Seeing them live in November, never thought I would have the chance to see such influential and iconic artists live, so surreal.
