Only 3 minutes after the guy in front of me gets his meal, I get mine. There must be something wrong with the machine, since usually I have to wait for at least ten minutes. I sit down by myself as usual and start eating. It's cold, and seems to be a few weeks old, but it's better than nothing. Suddenly the screens on the walls come on and Breen delivers another one of his speeches. It's basically just more of his brainwashing bullshit, he's talking about instinct, and how it's our enemy. He still seems to refer to the Combine as "our benifactors", although it seems to be more along the lines of "Breen's benifactors" based on what I've heard.

I finish the meal and start walking back home. This time I avoid looking at the execution I saw earlier, I don't really want the Combine to catch me peeking in on their little parties. I also take the longer, but safer detour again, they might still be pounding on the helpless citizens I saw them beat so brutally before. I finally reach my building, the Combine that stood by the door to the other block are still there, and so are the two guys I spoke to earlier.

I walk up to my apartment and get inside. My roommate is sitting at the table, doing nothing as always. All of a sudden I see a man outside the apartment. I struggle for a bit to remember where I've seen him before, but then I realize it's the same guy I saw at the trainstation. He enters the apartment, not that I really care, and then walks out through the other exit. That was odd.

Wait a minute, I've seen that guy before!

DISREGARD THAT UPPER POST, IT IS THE LAST PART OF THE STORY AND I HIT POST ON ACCIDENT HERE IS PART ONE, FEEL FREE TO MAKE FUN OF ME AFTER I POST ALL THE PARTS

It was a normal day in City 17. I had just woken up, my back was hurting from the mattress. I stood up, stretching, the pain in my back was increasing. I take a look out the window and see a Strider walking down the street, escorted by a flock of Combine Soldiers. I watch as the metallic monster goes around the corner, disappearing from my sight. I put on my clothes and walk out of the apartment. There is nobody out in the hall, everyone's either gone out or hiding in their rooms.

As I exit the building I notice some Civil Protection standing guard outside the building next to mine. They must have raided it this morning, while everyone was still asleep. There are two people observing the Metropolice from afar, I walk to them and ask what's going on. Not that I really care, over half the buildings in the neighbourhood have been raided in the last three months, this one is just another drop in the bucket. They don't seem to be very talkative either, responding only with a quick "raid", before turning their eyes away from me and back to the CP officers. I keep walking, thinking to myself: "Oh well, at least my apartment block hasn't been raided yet "

As I walk through the alley that leads to the trainstation, I notice a few Metrocops up ahead of me. They seem to have found some poor blokes to beat on. Even though these acts of violence by the CPs disgust me, I know I shouldn't interfere. I've heard that those people who try to stand up for the poor saps being beat on are usually sent straight to Nova Prospekt. And while I don't know a whole lot about the place myself I've heard very nasty rumors about the stuff they do to you there.

So instead of taking my usual route to the trainstation, it seems I have to take a detour. I enter the alley to my left and climb over the fence that is in my way. I walk out of the alley and further down the street.

I walk down the street, the Citadel looming over me as I make my way towards the trainstation. I see a Civil Protection officer outside a small room. I manage to peek and take a look in there while he isn't looking and see two more officers getting some civilians ready for what seems to be an execution. I quickly walk away and pretend I didn't see anything.

I am now standing in the plaza, the old monument in the middle hosting Breen's screencast seems very small compared to the Citadel in all it's so called glory. The trainstation is just ahead now and I make my way to it, I walk up the stairs and open the door. The smell of pure filth quickly greets me as I open the door, but I've gotten used to it.

I make my way to the food dispenser and take my place in the line. There are two people ahead of me, this is gonna take a while. After about five minutes the lady in the front finally gets her meal and gets out of the line. Another five minutes pass and the food dispenser doesn't seem to be dispensing it's food any time soon.

I look to my sides and see nothing out of the ordinary, one Metrocop on my left, two of them on my right, and a man who seems to have just gotten here via the 8 o'clock train. He does strike me as a pretty smart guy, what with having glasses on and whatnot, but aside from that he it just another face in the crowd.

Could a moderator maybe delete that above mistake post (and this one) so the story isn't fucked up?

Kevin peered out behind the corner and snapped his head back. He had found him.

Kevin had been tracking Muhammad Amal for 3 months, and had finally tracked him down in a small Iraqi base. Muhammad has been kidnapping innocent civilians and publicly executing them, just because he has an insatiable hunger for blood. Doesn't matter if they are newborn children, or the elderly, he will kill them.

Kevin had slipped undetected through the base, and found himself in the heart of the base. And that's when he found Muhammad.

Kevin listened in on Muhammad.

"...and blow them straight to hell!"

"But these are our country men! We cannot turn our backs on them and kill them!" Muhammad's second in command implied.

"You speak nonsense, Arif. I can do whatever I please. Now, Sabir, arm the C4, they will not know what hit them!" Muhammad laughed.

Sabir walked over to the wall under a lamp, and began to plant the explosive device.

"Now Master..." Arif began.

Master? Kevin thought, What is this, some sort of cult?

"What about the prisoner?" Arif asked.

"Well, I think we should dig his eyes out with a spoon, eh, old friend?" Muhammad grinned.

"Of course, Master."

Kevin had two objectives now: Stop Muhammad, and rescue the prisoner.

Kevin jumped from behind the corner...
