I always loved looking at these shame I forgot this year, maybe next year if someone reminds me, also this is quite good for me because for some reason I'm better at drawing with pencil and paper as opposed to my tablet. it's always puzzled me why

So I've scanned about 20 so far... this is taking quite a bit of time. It'll be worth it though, one thing i didnt like about the first sketchbook tour is that after alot of handling the book has started to fall apart over at the office. This time around i'll keep the original and ill just have hardbound versions of it available in very limited quantity. Which is part of the reason its taking so long to scan these. I have to do em at 300dpi so it prints well. my guess is if i can be very responsible and scan 10 a day i should be close to wrapping up the scanning aspect by next weekend.

You should get someone to help out. :D Why did the first one fall apart? Too much handling? When you put the book together do you keep the original spiral from the notebook or get a new one?

I smell potential for an awesome limited edition NG store item in the years following.

There will be but not available in the store.. because the quantity will be so limited.. its too expensive of an experiment to make a large print run and then have em sit on the shelf. I'm thinking like 5-6 books to test the waters and then greater quantities if the demand is there.

That makes me think...we can have a reserve spot for next year when you decide to start sketchbook tour '09?

If anything I would wait years down the line to sell a Ng Sketchbook tour art book. By that time the tour would be well known and have lots more to put in a book.

Well right now.. i think it would actually make MORE sense to invest in hardcover version than shirts. I may put the shirts on hold for a bit. Dunno yet. ok im off to scanland!

For the fifth Sketchbook Tour, you should convince Newgrounds to publish a paperback Sketchbook Tour book for the store featuring all the pages from the five tours, and maybe some commentary and project history. Maybe this is putting too much into this tour, but it feels like an important part of the Newgrounds community worth commemorating.

If you do make copies of the sketchbook will those who send in something get a free copy or will we have to pay for them like everyone else?

ALSO, even if we have to pay, I'd be cool if we got personalized copies!!! THAT'D BE AWESOME!!!

I'd say we most likely have to pay because well all that time and effort to make several hunderd sketchbooks for a bunch of people and then giving away 100 of those sketchbook for free because someone created one page of an 100+ page sketchbook. Would result in the loss of money, I would say we would need to pay like 20 or 25 dollars for the sketchbook if they were going to produce multiple sketchbook books.
