Which is gonna, hopefully, be the best of the 3?
Why I forgot to take notice about this post?
I believe Unleashed will be the best of the three, mainly because it does look like they made improvements with emulating the fun of a 2D Sonic game into 3D. Their approach is known as 2 1/2 D, which is a 2D gameplay with 3D environments. Super Paper Mario falls into the category, but there are earlier games with that concept. Ever played a Klonoa either in the Playstation or PS2? Contra: Shatter Soldier is also a game with that concept. Some say Wario World is a 2 1/2 D game, but I don't know. Of course, there is that new PS3 game that really takes it to a whole new level. Yes, I am talking about Little Big Planet.
What am I saying is it look like the gameplay approach to Unleashed is a good step (even though I have concepts to make a fun 3D Sonic game). This is in contrast to the other two. Chronicles feels almost like a train wreck, despite positive press. I don't care if it is developed by a company that knows a lot about RPGs, have a turn-based RPG to a game known for its action-packed speed feels like a fan-game waiting to happen. I still think my approach to RPGs (Chao Story) will break the standards for RPGs. Of course, I have another RPG concept, and it is best suited for Blue and his friends.
As for that Black Knight game, some say it is like a Zelda game, which already sounds like a terrible idea. Then again, Tail's Adventure plays like a Metroid game, and I kind of like it (could used some Gasam gameplay). Some say it is like an enhanced version of the fencing game from that Olympics game. Whatever it may be, I don't think it's going to end well. I still considering a hedgehog wielding a sword to be a gimmick. Still, it gives me a good excuse to draw a kickass version of him with a sword.
