Art Feedback

While I would like to see a higher critique to art ratio it's just not really the nature of this forum at present. Even the most accomplished artists here often have to post several pictures before getting any feedback at all, and, unfortunately that can be very discouraging. The posters here on the Newgrounds Art forum are, generally pretty new to art and are not prepared to really give good criticism because they havn't had much experience with it, as opposed to posters on a more professional forum such as ConceptArt.org where good, thoughtful critique is given.

...BUT, I'd like to say that the feedback here is better than a place like DeviantArt.com where good critique (at least on the art pages, I don't know about their forums) is nearly impossible to come by.

I guess what I want to say is that users here are more unsure about the critique and comments that they want to give to other artists are so they generally keep their comments to themselves. At least that's the impression I have. =\

That can be debated though, as a lot of people on CA are arrogant assholes.
This was actually brought up on a skype conversation before, and Armaina had mentioned that she's actually had better, more constructive feedback here than on CA.

I felt like it was my duty to inform people that it is now snowing for the third time this winter in Houston, Texas.
Seriously, wtf.

I've seen snow on I think seven separate days in my life. Three of those have been this winter.

....wtf.

Ah! Sorry, I forgot. It is now alternating between light snow and rain outside, it's like the weather can't really decide if it wants to be cold enough or not... but my back fence looks like it's covered in ice.

I haven't seen that many snowfalls this summer. We got a few inches yesterday, but it's mostly all gone today.

Big-J is lying, LYING!

I have an atlas of North America and it clearly states that Mexico is one giant sandbox of desert, the US is TOTALLY covered in lush grass and Canada has 3 feet of snow on the ground at ALL TIMES.

It stops at the border.

Just read Tom's post about the coming of pico day and I was wondering; Should we hold some sort of competition or something?
Perhaps we could arrange that we have all the mod and administrators (especially Tom) vote on the submissions and the prize could be an automatic front page. (although for some of you that is less inciting than for others :P)

I could go for some bacon right about not too....
....and some chicken strips..... o.0.
but a FP for some of us, in my opinion, is a rather effective prize....

I tend to work less for money and more for the experience and fame more and more these days o.0....

CRAP
guys....>.>....
I need some help here
ok I applied for this freelance job, and the guy actually answered me.....

o.0....I've worked on commission before, but not for some business.

I guess my real dilemma is...what is my work worth? What do you guys think it is worth?

I haven't gotten the job yet, but I'm suppose to reply, and I know that depending what I say could mean if I get the job or not...

do you think I should type up something tonight and get it out to him or wait until tomorrow and call him? (21:00 hours here.....)

im surprised theres no pico day collab going yet, thats another option, and is renae running a pico day card exchange, i know she said something about it.

and kinsei not that i have much experience but id say calling the guy would be better, its more personal its face to face (kinda) and its real time, hell of a lot quicker
