I'm nominating this dude, because he rocks hardcore style.

I recommend NorskeDrittsekk and TroisnyxEtienne. they are both excellent in musical composition and for the best nomination: being humble composers.

Linktrx and B-RadGfromOV deserve some love.

This guy has some serious potential. Obviously still learning the ropes and using presets, but goddamn this song:

If this guy learns how to properly mix and build synths, he will be serious competition.

I started playing bass about six years ago, and since then have branched out to guitar, drums, vocals and programming electronic music. I just registered here recently for the latter; I've had many people tell me that my stuff reminds them of the music for video games, movies, documentaries, et cetera. I've decided to start trying to make that happen, starting with flash games and whatever other mediums are available to me on here. I use Ableton Live 8 Suite, and mainly program ambient, atmospheric electronic music. When I started out, I essentially wanted to be a computerized Explosions In The Sky, and have since evolved to have (what I believe to be) a unique sound.

Please people, this thread isn't a thread for self-promotion, we've already got the Audio Advertisement Thread!

As for Underrated artists, I've made a recent find that immediately became one of my favorite bands on this site (Although I'm probably a tad biased).

the formation call themselves SMES (Super Music Entertainment System), and they do classic VG covers, but play them in Hard Bop Jazz style.

They're an extremely talented bunch, and I encourage everyone here to at the very least give them a listen, you certainly won't regret it!

"Like the old Underdog List, you WILL be allowed to nominate yourself."

That's from the OP, so.... apparently it is.

I refuse to nominate myself... I just can't right now...

I, however, can nominate a few artist that I feel deserve some more exposure :) :

Not sure how expose Kassich is, but he definitely deserves some attention.

I would like to nominate my newest song due to Amanda RÃ¥dmans AMAZING VOCAL WORK !
I feel she is not getting the recognition she deserves . Or don't you agree ?

For a track with an ID under 250, it's outrageous.
But the artist is inactive like ages ago.

I know x_x

It's VaeVIKTUZ I nominate.

He's the very definition of underdog. His tracks are always so good, He uses life instruments. It doesn't sound overproduced, but not too noisy. Just a very human and honest sound.

He's been here on Newgrounds for one and a halve year, posted plenty of songs, and up till today he's still very active. I heard he's been on the front page once and rightly so, yet he's only got 8 fans, and gets way too little reviews. I guess he just doesn't ask for attention enough, but he certainly deserves some credit based on his music.

Please put him on the list.

I'm on a new account since I started using more professional techniques, and sadly I'm only working on my song, but I thought I would say I would be back here, and maybe get someone to check me out since I'm getting 0 bomber (because honestly my music isnt that bad... Unless someone thinks otherwise at least)

mine differs a lot

Haha well its good to get feedback, can you let me know what you dont like about it?

Response to The Underdog List 2012-11-27 10:53:50

I'd suggest you to worry about making better music
And if you think you're already good at it and you're getting 0-bombed for no reason, there are obviously some people who think otherwise.

Response to The Underdog List 2012-11-27 11:42:58

Well umm.. your will probably hate me for this but worth a try :p
so I'm gonna nominate myself :D Not that I'm saying I'm awesome or anything but I'm sure many of you will enjoy the music! I have only began being active on NG recently. Well... only yesterday really xD
anyway, I produce trance music, have been playing piano (with no lessons) for a decade and I'm 17 years old.
I'm quite popular on youtube for having been a producer for less than 2 years.
http://www.youtube.com/user/SoulofT In case anyone is wondering!! :D
Anyway, hope I can get more attention on NG, I will certainly also be more active! =)

Souloft out :)

Response to The Underdog List 2012-11-27 12:18:07

Lets see.. I have 6 songs so far, and I'm still uploading.
I have no reviews though :-/. I'm not sure if I've been scouted at this point IDK. I'm new here.
I'm definitely active. I'm just beginning to start exploring all of the site.
It says I can self nominate? I feel kinda cheesy doing that, but hey it's worth a shot right?

About me? Hmmm... I make original Electronic music. Much of it does not fit into any genre - not because I make it spaz out like so many experimental artists do, but because I hate cliche. I will never do dubstep, trance, or any other over-used style. Most of the songs are very different from eachother. I wrote a few hundred tracks over the past 10 years or so. Many of which I will be posting here in the next couple weeks. I control MIDI with my Nord Lead II. I use Cubase, Ableton, Renoise, and FL Studio to record synth loops. I compile my songs manually by editing the waveforms in Adobe Audition. I don't use multitrack. I stopped using third party loops around 2003. I use different one-shots for my drum work, most are my own, some are downloaded from packs. I love what I do. I hope I posted this on the right thread.
Thanks to everyone who checks it out - Jake

You are nowhere near being awesome, but still shamelessly self-advertised. That's why Lasse and I do not like your attitude.

Also...

You should write the abbreviated form of "do not" with an apostrophe.

Hey sorry for striking a bone, but I wanted to get honest feedback, if I actually have bad music, then I want to know how to be better, and I havnt heard anything negative about my music, in fact I've been hearing just the opposite. The reason I posted here was to get some exposure and to see what people think about my music, so sorry if I struck a bone or something, I just want to get better

That's why you should have posted your music in the according thread, that I linked in the post just above yours.

I'll nominate Calimforce.

This guy has some damn good house songs, at least I think so. He doesn't seem to get that much attention, though that could because he doesn't do much in the community, but I feel he deserves some recognition.

It's better than me trying to nominate myself, though my stuff isn't really good enough for me to be considered an underdog.

You know, I didn't respond to you earlier, because everyone complains about zero bombing all the time. But when you started the topic, I actually checked out your profile, and I saw that at the time you only had 2 songs up, with a total of 5 votes. If your songs dropped from 4s to 2s, that means only 2 or 3 of those 5 votes were actual 0s. I won't call that bombing. If I look at your profile now you have about 25 votes in total and your scores are even lower. Maybe by complaining so much over nothing gave yourself negative exposure. I also saw you wrote some very negative reviews where you gave halve a star to songs that in my opinion weren't too bad (at least better than your own). It's not surprising if you made some enemies with your reviews. The most likely explanation however is your songs just aren't as good as you think, just no one cares enough to tell you. I didn't vote for your songs because I feel sorry for you and I don't want to freeze the score at the 2 it's at, because that's I'd vote. If you want constructive criticism, I'll tell you this; Keep in mind what key your song is in and don't use notes that donâEUTMt fit that key. Use good sounding and preferably original chord progressions. These things are important for understanding your own songs. If you don't know why your song should be good, it probably isn't. Don't just learn tips and tricks from google or youtube. Pick up a book about fundamentals of music. Or take lessons. Be original. Nothing against dubstep, but you're not the first to make it, and a lot of people who do are beginners that arenâEUTMt very good. Make yourself stand out from the mass. If you write "best" among your tags, be sure not to disappoint. Good luck and keep improving.
