I'm back after 5 years. Have things changed much? Are Bizarro Joe and Mindchamber still on here?

I'll start out out with a drawing from last last year inspired by normal college student life.

Yeah, it's a whole new world of people around here.
MC doesn't post in the art forum anymore, and I haven't seen Joe in half a year.

That's a pity, the art portal seems to have attracted some new talent though.

Here's another drawing in the same setting.

Thanks :D

I don't really have a steady technique but what I think usually looks the prettiest to me is done by:
Determining the light source and blending light to dark by increasing the texture density, with the light part directed to the light source.
The 'texture' can be crosshatching (which looks neatest when you sorta follow the curves of the object), dots, a lizard, dragon, fur... whatever pattern. Also a nice trick is to make the pattern bigger on the side that is closest to you.

So here's a portrait done in the holiday of the worlds most favorite murderer.

Here's a pastel drawing I made for a game that's probably never going to get finished.

I actually meant the game is never going to get finished but thanks :p

My photoshop coloring skillz suckz.

I've found a good photoshop shading tutorial on youtube: link
It explains the use of layers while shading in Photoshop very well.
But something that might also help is simply searching for "speed painting" on youtube.
Watching others draw is something that helped me a lot so far in learning coloring techniques
without having to follow 'step by step' tutorials.

BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMP!
I've finally bought a tablet, so I'll probably be posting a lot more around here.
(The quality of this pic is kind of bad since I didn't have my scanner and had to use my digital camera)
So who's caught himself laid back in the same lazy posture while surfing on the internets?

I got into to coding not so long ago and I've got all these ideas for games, many of which I started making but didn't finish because BUGS. I'm a crappy programmer.
So since I'll probably never finish it I thought I'd just post this here:

Well, it's been a while since I posted here. Had another go at a self portret because the previous one was kind of bad (as in terrible) and I'm an idle human being.
I decided depict myself as a knight because a little delusion of grandeur never hurts eh.
So anyway, does anybody have any ideas for a background or other suggestions/critiques?
