For the actual definition of a moderator, see here or at the Help / FAQ - Moderators.
Forum/BBS mods - users who looks over the forums with the ability to ban users, delete/lock threads or posts, etc.
Review mods - able to delete reviews and ban users from reviewing who break the review guidelines.
Audio mods - accept or decline new audio submitters by checking to see if work is stolen or ripped from somewhere.
Icon mods - ability to add icons to submissions by themselves or accept others made by users.
