I don't like mainstream rap, but I don't go around bitching about it all the time. If I hear a rap song on the radio, I switch stations. Mainstream will probably get bored of rap in a couple of years and probably switch gears like they do every 6-7 years, but that doesn't mean it's gonna stop existing. There's a life after mainstream.

Plus, you already have awesome underground rap artists like Lady Sovereign or Buck 65. You can hate it, see if I care. It's your right, because everyone is entitled to their own OPINION!

I found the beat a much too simple and the beat was a bit to slow. Like Rhino said, it's listenable, but I don't really like it.

Uh... I wouldn't say the beat is simple, but it is slow, yes. 'The South' is a far faster song (with an amazing beat and backing sound) but I can't find a nice version of it on Youtube.

you couldnt be more wrong vannila guerilla. rap may be dying in your little suburb, but it dominates all other music genres in conflicted cities with poverty and corruption. rap is a way of speaking out, and being heard. it covers controversial topics that rock never even touches on. sure a lot of rap isnt so meaningful, but there is ton that is, and there is a whole culture behind it as well known as hip hop. there are many subcultures such as "hyphy" that may eventually die, but true hip hop and the ideas behind it will never die. i for one love rap/hip hop in all forms and even some rock, but a lot of times i find it disgusting how so many people that like rock have a hate for the hip hop society when they know almost nothing about it. viva la revolution
