What do you guys think is the most serious/saddest Muse song?

I think Citizen Erased is. I think it is about the protagonist killing his baby.

If not, then Blackout.

Also, d00d, unintended or Falling Away With You

I would have mentioned Falling Away With You but I think it gets a bit too jolly and exciting. Blackout is just depression.

Falling Away With You doesn't seem so sad because it is seems to be a love song.

Also, I just found out that it's "Falling Away With You". For all this time I thought it was "Falling Away From You". Lol.

Period.

That's hilarious! But I have a few questions about that:

- Do Muse and Slipknot have something against each other? (am I being a noob by asking that?)
- What's up with the player on that video? I can't replay it, I can't go back one part... what the hell?

No, I don't think so. It was probably just a little joke between them =\

Ah, OK then. I thought they didn't "like" each other. I have nothing against Slipknot either, BTW.

I'd say its just Muse taking the piss out of Slipknot. Most people see them as a joke. I wouldn't call it dislike, but indifference.

Oh Jesus, Muse tickets!

OK, not really MUSE tickets, but they're for the Muse concert here in my town. It's a festival called "Porão do Rock", literally translated to "Gate of Rock". Bad-ass.

Mini-dictionary for you:

Sexta - Friday
Sábado - Saturday
Cortesia - Courtesy (yeah, my father got them for free!)
Pista - The middle of the crowd, dunno the real translation
Estacionamento do Mané Garrincha - Mané Garrincha's parking lot (Mané Garrincha is a soccer stadium, BTW)
Agosto - ...Go figure.

Don't worry, Portuguese is a creepy language. ;)

Wow, I'm so jealous right now. Seriously. I don't think Muse are favored over here in the States too much. Origin of Symmetry wasn't released till 2004 just because of Matt's falsetto vocals. I hope you have a good time though. Muse's live shows are infamous for being loud, ludicrous, and over-the-top.

Though you could potentially say that for all their albums. They each sound unique if compared to one another. Especially Black Holes, since they've really branched out a lot, and incorporated a lot of different styles into their music for that album.

Why hell is everyone in the states against Matt's falsetto vocals? I read somewhere that radio stations wanted to Muse to remove the falsetto vocals, because the falsetto vocals "discourage radio play".

America wants Muse to be another manufactured pop-punk band.

Seriously, that's makes Muse so appealing, they aren't afraid to be "anti-radio." If Muse stopped doing falsetto and all that, they wouldn't be Muse, they'd just be another band.

Actually, no bands are very favoured here in Brazil. We're always the last ones to get the albums, the good bands drop by only a few times a year, and when they do, the tickets are insanely expensive.

But recently more good artists are coming. I mean, on the same day as Muse, we will have Joe Satriani! What a lack of luck, I also wanted to go on his concert. =(

I hope you have a good time though.

Thanks.

Good to know. =)

Well, only one of my friends is into Muse, and I'm not sure if he's coming or not. And I'm also 14, so I'll have to "have the company of a responsible", as the ticket says. But my cousin is coming, so it's fine.

Pop-punk is a bullshit oxymoron anyway. How is pop-punk Punk anyway if they only talk about love and shit like that.

Because its not Punk. It's Pop-Punk.
It's popular music with a Punk influence.

Oh yeah, and also, by ratings for the songs in Origin have changed A LOT since I posted my chart. Here is it now:

Origin of Symmetry:
1. New Born
1. Hyper Music (tied with New Born)
2. Citizen Erased
3. Bliss
4. Feeling Good
5. Dark Shines
6. Space Dementia
7. Micro Cuts
8. Megalomania
9. Plug in Baby (sorry guys, too cheesy)
10. Screenager (too boring)

I think this list is correct permanently for me.

Also, I now like The Small Print much more than I used to now :).

Good good good fucking man <3

As we're all doing lists then..

Favourite album first

Absolution

1. The Small Print
2. Apocalypse Please
3. Time Is Running Out
4. Butterflies & Hurricanes
5. Sing for Absolution
6. Blackout
7. Falling Away With You
8. Stockholm Syndrome
9. Thoughts Of A Dying Atheist
10. Endlessly
11. Ruled By Secrecy
12. Hysteria

I think that's the order. It's my favourite album without a doubt because every single track is so loveable, even enjoy the Intro and Interlude, so just because Hysteria is at the bottom doesn't mean that I skip it at all.

Origin of Symmetry

1. Megalomania
2. New Born
3. Screenager
4. Citizen Erased
5. Feeling Good
6. Plug In Baby
7. Futurism (Bonus track)
8. Bliss
9. Hyper Music
10. Space Dementia
11. Dark Shines

I think some of you may be surprised by the top song for me there.

Black Holes & Revelations

1. Take A Bow
2. City of Delusion*
3. Hoodoo*
4. Glorious (Bonus track)
5. Invincible
6. Knights of Cydonia
7. Starlight
8. Map of the Problematique
9. Exo-Politics
10. Soldiers Poem
11. Assassin
12. Supermassive Black Hole

* Hoodoo must always be played right after City o Delusion, they just both work together so well.

Showbiz

1. Cave
2. Showbiz
3. Falling Down
4. Sober
5. Unintended
6. Muscle Museum
7. Hate This & I'll Love You
8. Escape
9. Sunburn
10. Fillip
11. Uno
12. Overdue

Err think so, this album gives me a headache thinking of the songs without the means to listen to them at the same time (at work). Also, can't remember how Spiral Static (another bonus track) goes so not included it.

DONE.

Yeah never thought much of it really, probably the worst single in my opinion right after Supermassive Black Hole.
