Time to announce the Best of June! Before I do that, though, I want to quickly summarize all the contest opportunities floating around on NG right now:
1. Rock Out Games Competition - Submit your rhythm-based games to this contest and ten winners will each receive an Xbox 360 Elite, Guitar Hero 2 with an additional guitar, as well as $1,000 cash, courtesy of ArmorGames! Additionally, NG will be awarding $500 cash to ten musicians who are utilized in winning entries. Be sure to read the complete rules, the deadline is in FIVE DAYS!
2. Wiggi World Game Competition - The deadline is August 10th and this is an AMAZING OPPORTUNITY to win some cash. The grand prize of $4,000 is up for grabs, as well as six other prize slots. CHECK IT OUT!
3. Transformers Collab - We got some freebies from the record label, but this is more of a passion project than a contest. I really want this to be a fun collab, with lots of TF-themed shorts. Deadline is Thursday, we might give a few extra days but don't count on it.
4. Castle Crashers Music Contest - Deadline is August 11th. Submit your music for the upcoming Xbox Live Arcade game and you could win cash prizes, as well as a potential licensing deal!
5. Hi Res Sprite Art Contest - This is a fun one! Create a hi res version of a classic sprite. The submissions thread is fun to browse, so don't miss it.
6. Paladin DVD Competition - JAZZA just released part 1 of Paladin episode 5 and is giving away DVDs to the top spoofs and tributes, which will be featured on the Paladin series page!
We've gotten a bit overloaded with contests, but it's summer and people are looking for stuff to do. There's pretty much something for everyone in the above list. :)
