With Hong Kong being one of the record-overpopulated regions worldwide, I'm not surprised if it's crowded even at 5 AM in the morning (area-specific).

I can't blame the inhabitants though; the tax rate is low (15% if I remember correctly), the overall prices for everything is cheap (some stores even allow haggling if you know where to look) and many products from various parts of the world are accessible.

The only drawbacks is the relative humidity (very high), pollution (high) and the housing/land costs (very expensive).

I am assuming you mean to ask whether I am a British-raised or American-raised person with Chinese ethnic origin.

But being raised in Hong Kong, I see/hear myself as having a mix of British/American accent.

I'm ABC and both my parents are from Shanghai. It's a very BIG city. I live in Houston, Texas. I haven't visited many places in Asia (they were all in China) Let's see...I've visited Shanghai like 5 or 6 times and Guangzhou(or was it Hongzhou?) once. I am also going back to Shanghai this summer as well and plan on visiting Tokyo for a couple of days, and Beijing for a week.

But hopefully I can still post here from a laptop or something.
