I think you guys depend to much on statistics ... you forgot the two most important words when we're talking of possibilities : "what if".

What if _lightning_'s comp crashes out? What if GSX_boy (or something like that) decide to protect like crazy? What if some terrorists destroy NG's database? What if?

Mystboy has a point, what if multiple things happen it could change the way the lists go on forever, it could even destroy the lists and/or the NG database, stop making the lists for the good o0f the server, being on the lists isnt safe, no records of membership!

Uh.. so? In all sports, people talk about the statistics of any given player, and speculate about who will get however many goals/home runs/touchdowns/points before the season ends, or whatever. None of it is set in stone, it could all change at any time, but it's still something that a LOT of people write/talk about, and a lot of people read/listen to.

In contrast, not that many people worry about blam and save statistics. The stats in my list are more or less correct, and I don't make ANY guarantees about the future. Yes, my dangerzone section might suggest who might be coming onto the list next, and who's in danger, but overall, I'm talking about the way things are NOW, and the way they WERE, and who's leveled up since last time, not who's GOING to level up before next time.

So you'll pardon me if I have NO idea why you seem upset about depending on statistics for predicting the future or whatever. All I said was that he should be able to get enough protects to get on the list since he had 48 hours to do it. And... well, he did! So there. :::posts lists:::

I'll have to give the nod to gfox here. In my case, I'll post the people who are close to ranking up(within a handful) particularly when they've been active. I think it was Crono-'s last level that was the most away from rank I'd mentioned. Doing 100+/day and needing 5, it didn't seem like much of a stretch. I think gfox, when talking about, "not who's GOING to level up before next time," was more in reference to someone passing someone else on his list, but I felt I should throw in my above qualifier.

If you look at the ongoing conversations gfox and I have had with biteme in my thread, you'll see that we are incessantly make comments qualifying any predictions we make. "Presuming this" "If things stay the same" blahblahblah. It was all based upon statistics we had gathered that, up to that point in time were valid, and allowed us to forecast as accurately as a weatherman. If this, presuming that, there will be millions of dollars of damage ... and then the hurricane goes back out to sea. We've never claimed 100%, but can give a "best guess" to which I usually append yet another qualifier. If you want to get bent over it, or nitpick at it, feel free. In the meantime, I'll keep pulling I Ching sticks and giving pretty good results.

Dig the weather forecasting allegory, man. Oh, BTW, good job changing your sigpic to the way it is now. I noticed an hour or so ago that the image was kinda squished, and you could BARELY make out the blam and save numbers. The 6000 and 3000 look much nicer (as does the badge) now.

The BeauJacquesDeux sig I was using was a larger image that I resized to use here, for want of something better. I played D2 Classic on USEast and the sig derives from that character. BeauJacques was my original ladder run. Magezons have no business being in the top 100, when 3/4 of the shit is immune to your primary attack, but I still finished 4th (2nd Amazon). With BeauJacquesDeux I'm pulling a skum001. I retired her in October and I periodically go back to make tease the people who still haven't knocked her out of the top 10. I've slipped 5 ranks in 10 months and I'm still 8th (and in no danger of falling off anytime soon) LOL

Anyway, it, like my Ajax ID was getting old and I was feeling it was time for a change. I was planning on holding off until I got 6666/3333, which used to work out within a day or two of each other. The blam rates are huge these days (low end is 70% and I've topped 85 a couple times) and I'd wind up stalled on blams for 2 weeks waiting for saves to catch up. This isn't quite as cool as that would have been, but it'll have to do =)

i have worked with flash and i know how extremely hard it is to work with so alot of stuff i give acceptable passing points that other people would blam.. the rest can just go and other movies get good ratings

yea, but this time me and my friend teamed up and we are working on a new flash. its looking sweet already. he does the art and i do the animations. i expect this movie to rank up around 3.5

This was an OK submission, and it made me laugh quite a lot. Definately not a blam.
I gave you a five.. To push it even further... I hate when ppl vote only because of graphics. I usually vote 5 on submissions that I think has a good point, but they do suck. I know I have wasted many blam points (but gotten some saves) that way, but it is kinda worth it.

That's a shame. but are you sure you mean it passed with a 1.4? That's kinda... impossible. Maybe it passed with a 1.6 and people voted it further down to 1.4 after it was protected?

I forget who mentioned it earlier, something about how much good stuff was showng up on the portal lately. I said it was only because we cleaned out most of the crap ... geez, the protector list is getting harder to climb every day.
