Because of this, the requirement to enter this list is now over 20,000 saves. That's a great milestone. Back when this list was changed from 100 to 150 users 54 months ago was also the first time when at least 150 people had over 10,000 saves. We've doubled this in a lot less time than 9 years.

Only because the rate of blams took a major nose dive. Even when Blams were on tops saves could still be gotten at a decent rate. However now anything even stuff that would be better off blammed makes it through the portal.

But thanks for upping the bar I was wondering when someone would boot me off the list and now it has come.

A worse pace than last time for me, but I had a very busy month with exams and all. I'm surprised I still managed to get above 20 per day. I should do better next time.

Fun fact: once a year there are four updates on the same day of the week in a row: 2-1, 2-15, 3-1 and 3-15. This wouldn't have been the case last year as was a leap year.

Having just passed 10,000 b/p and eating a delicious sandwich, it feels like the perfect time to post the list of the month.
February only has 28 days, but it doesn't show if you look at the gains on the list. A total of 34 (!) people got over 1000 saves this month. I don't know if these people overlooked the 0 and 1 buttons, but I'll take it.
In fact, there would've been 41 users if you count all the users I have on my list (like me).
Alkador entered the list this month. It cost vader316 his place, but he hasn't posted since 2010 so I don't think he cares anymore.

Ever noticed how the Top 10 to 20 Monthly Savers, (voting abusers), NEVER feature in the Top Blammers list? I guess they are too frightened to hit the 0 and 1 buttons for fear of missing a Save. Seriously anyone that is getting more than 1,200 or so Saves a month is just abusing the Portal voting system with the 5 button just for the sake of gaining a few extra saves and lets be honest is it really worth it? No it's not. You're just proving to the rest of the NG community that you have No ethics, no morals. And it's blatantly obvious who those people are that are having such a hard time hitting the 0 and 1 buttons. It's a shame really because they are always the ones that shout out about how much they love Newgrounds but the reality is, that they are the ones ruining The Portal by voting every piece of crap that gets submitted past the Under Judgement phase. Grow some testicles people Vote 0 on shit that deserves it. Stop having the shitful attitude of 'Oh well, it's gonna pass I might as well give it a 5". Fuck that stupid attitude. Break the Savewhores cycle. If there's 80 submissions a day, you can be guaranteed 20 of them (at least) should be getting a 0 or 1 vote, not a 5 vote. We/you should be getting 20 Blams a day, not 2 or 3 if you're lucky. If we all band together we can beat the Savewhores at their stupid 'Save Everything' game and turn Newgrounds back to the amazing site it once was. Instead of letting it fade into obscurity through peoples bad voting habits. This is NOT YOUTUBE, it's Newgrounds, so treat it like it's Newgrounds and not like it's YOUTUBE. If peoples voting habits don't change soon, Newgrounds will become an obsolete site, sooner rather than later.

Hi, I'm DiMono and I average about 1300 saves a month. That makes me one of the people you're talking about. I have to say, passing blanket statements like this off as "observation" is disingenuous and insulting. Let's use me as an example, because it's convenient, and take a look at my stats:

Saves: 30,256
Blams: 03,860

Looks pretty bad, right? 88.7% of my b/p is in saves. Except I didn't start chasing b/p until a couple years ago, when the "everything seems to get through" epidemic was already pretty much in full swing. Now let's head over to NGLogs and see what it has to say. I only log my stats when I hit a milestone of some sort, but Feb 27 is about a month ago; let's see how I did:

Saves: 28,942
Blams: 03,826

That's 34 blams in 32 days, which means I'm pulling in over 30 blams a month. Now let's take a look at the bottom of the top 10 from the blams list from 2 weeks ago:

You know, if I didn't know any better I'd say that the only reason I'm not a contender for being on that list is that my total blams is too low, from the state of the portal having been this way for just about as long as I've been active in it.

You see, it's not that we don't vote 0 on submissions that deserve it; it's that we don't vote 0 on borderline submissions. I vote 0 somewhere between 3 and 10 times a day; some of those submissions get passed, and some borderline submissions that I vote 2 on (oh yeah, I also vote 2 and 3 on about 60-70% of submissions, not "5 on everything" as you have suggested) end up getting blammed without me.

Are there people who fit the description you've given? Absolutely. And those people are more hated in the B/P thread, the blams thread, and this thread than anyone else is hated anywhere on the site. But those people are not the majority of this thread, and they are reliably blacklisted from the B/P list in the other thread. I agree with your frustration over the fact that so many blamworthy submissions are getting saved, but please make sure you don't cast your net in such a way as to catch the innocent in it.
