We all know Tom's trying his best.
Cheers Tom, shows you care bout us.
Does Tomfulp work? And if he does....what as?

He is right
no thats no good dude...how much more you think itl need cus us as the ppl of ng can donate
Thats alright tom. Do what ya gotta do. I can live with whatever is to happen.
Don't forget:
Each router PC will require several high speed network cards.
Good luck Tom.
A truly prophetic sig...
Why don't you delete all the old unused/locked topics like NGBT and things to save some BW?
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Yet more proof there is no God. Don't worry Tom we're behind ya one hundred percent. Oh and kudos on the new HTML buttons.

Because those topics only take up hard drive space. Unless every single freakin' NG user is loading that topic every day, it's not doing much bandwidth harm, now is it? Nowhere near as much as how many people load Ganguro Girl every day, for example.
gfox // wi/ht?#9 // defunct PentaList (final update: 3/15/2008) // Cyberdevil's HexaList!
a long, long time ago: 60000 b/p (#2) // 36000 blams (#3) // 24000 saves (#1)
to the dude over my message;
still stuck over that damn mortal kombat game? hmm, we all know who really sucks balls now. :)
God DAmmit!!! That sux nuts! Shit fuck cunk cock!!! mother fucker!
I get what happened. But some words you ised were kinds "big"
I read it in the middle of school, and i hadda ask my comp teacher wtf it all meant..he was like bla bla bla and told me, then realized I wasnt doing my work...i got a call home :-(
Anyway I got the initial thing, but i wanted more!
ALSO the HTML aids is a good idea! I used to have trouble with it, until I started my own site!
ALSO
You can't deny its epicness!

Tom you've provided us with years of free entertainment. You have nothing to be sorry about. Thanks for going through all this trouble.
I appreciate the research you've been doing into this. I think I speak for most of NG (well, at least for myself, anyway...) when I say that I'm glad you're keeping costs down rather than passing the expenses on to NG users in the form of a subscription fee.

Are you saying this to tom? Dude yer a stupid, you couldnt write that message if not for tom.

Unfortunately, due to a policy change by our provider, we can no longer just hook our machines directly into their pipe - we need to use a router as the go-between. My initial pricing of a router to fit our needs was $7k, but further talks with tech folk made it apparent that we would need something much more heavy duty for NG bandwidth... We're talking more than a new BMW.
***What bandwidth are we talking about? That seems way high. T3 Bandwidth? Are you bringing BGP into the enterprise? What type of policies do you need to run on the router? You can get Cisco routers way cheap now... just check out Ebay. I have a hard time believing you would need something as robust as a Cisco 7500 or 12000 series
you need a sad face, maybe one that cries! cuz that is what i am doing at the aful news you have sent to us, :(...right, tell wade i thank him for fixing my account. good luck tom, i'd send cash twards those new computers, if i only had money
HOLY CRAP. I had no idea that routers could cost that much... I mean $7k is bad enough, but more than a new beamer?!?! Damn... That thing better be powerful for a price like that...
Hey, this is probably a stupid question, but, can't you just switch providers?
heh these html aids rock..
and BTW yes it is a stupid question. This service provider is cheaaap, and right now NG needs all the cheapness it can get. If this site goes down. I have no reason to be on the web.. ever.. again.
hey hey. its gona be ok. a tear rolls down my face as i say this, but i think it will be alright
i dont quite understand but it sounds like it sucks...
