Yeah, I feel ashamed. ;( I have no excuse for copying that picture, I will go and punish myself now. It's just that conceptart gives me too much inspiration, and I can't help but to get inspired.

I think it would of been nicer if the shading wasn't so 2d and sort of curved around the edges. Would of made him looks sorta flabby

Ok, I think I know what your talking about. I'll keep that in mind, thanks.
Here's a drawing I made for practice:
Help on how to improve this is very apprecciated.

That's pretty good!
you asked how to improve it, so here is all i got:
The forehead is too small. Foreheads are always too small on my stuff too, it is fucking irritating. Remember that the forehead actually takes up about half the face.
Other than that it is a pretty good picture, I like your stuff.
I see the forehead-thing now. Thanks for the comment!
The tree one is pretty sweet
looks like you just used a brush on different shades of green... a little too chunky..
Whatever, I look forward to more!
Hey, I really like your art and I would like to ask a question :
How do you make the shadows and the volume of the face?
Thanks in advance

Yeah, I just started drawing nature pics in painter, so I'm not to sure what brushes to use..

When I have the shape of the face I just fill in with a simple skin colour. then I add shadows and highlights, and then I blend them together with a smudgetool to make it smooth. Thats about it really.
Thanks for the comments everybody. More stuff coming up soon hopefully.

Yeah, I know. I've been trying lately but I never make anything worth posting. Maybe I'll do something this week.

Well said.
I think it would be amazing to see a piece of art, not just for practice, but an actual work. If you get me?

Actually I worked pretty long on that picture. With practice I meant drawing faces, the result of future pictures might not get any better just because I take more time on it..
But I will try to push myself to make better art though! ;)
Here's another. This started out as a small doodle because I got inspired when looking at pictures on concept art, but it turned out pretty cool so I decided to finish it.
Damn, it's been a long time since the last update.. ;o
Here's another random character.

There's something about that which is just fantastic! It reminds me of Zelda wind waker, not the in-game graphics but the textured promo stuff. The soft pastel colours are great, and with the faded line-art make it's really easy to look at, if that makes sense. That white outline is cool too, not something you'd expect to see, if you do an image with a background, you should keep the outline and just fade it down.
I love the colors you use in your drawings they just appeal to my eyes=]
Oh yeaaa

Heja Sverige!
You do small progresses all the time, the is visible, the is good:)
this last picture, with the worm, shows has you may to an a lot of better light. Your other pictures in the thread seem hugely flat out.
The woods on working more with the light than the shapes now thinks I, accustoms lightly simple shapes and light. Entire pc off all willed I will see that you accustomed through painting of things. Tripod up some mug and someone ball or something and only paint of, the pays off.
Supports Sweden!
that is an unproof-read rough translation of what he put.
