Well as it always goes when it comes to me making a game, I underestimated how much work I had left. I hate how people bitch about CCTV in PUBLIC PLACES. "Oh my god! They can see me when I'm in the streets!". They could stand there and see you if they wanted to.

CCTV is there for people's protection, there's nothing 1984 about it, countless crimes have been solved because the police can track people's movements and find them. Now if they put them in our homes, that WOULD be like 1984, but that will never happen.

Fuel prices

I don't get why people are so worked up about fuel prices and not food prices. I mean, surely something that you actually need in order to stay alive should take priority.

fuel is a bigger deal because everyone is clashing on the issue of phasing out fossil fuels. it's a big deal, so buying gas is big deal, which is made worse by the fact that it's gotten extremely expensive in such a short period of time.

we have basically limitless amounts of food, and its prices, as far as i know, haven't risen quite as high as gas' price has.

Fuel Prices
Because only people in Africa, South America and South/East Asia are dying because of the high food prices. Fuel prices affect us directly, food prices not so much.

NG Side Banners

I really hate those banners you get on the side of your screen! They're ugly and sometimes they're over a Flash viewing-window, making it hard to click the close button.

I really hoped they went away after the Tank Awards and apperently they didn't.

What do you think of these banners and how long do you think they'll be on here?

I dont like them because they are only half visiable. It annoying when you actually want to see whats on them, but cant because there both chopped half off. My resolution is fairly high, but no wide screen monitor. So. : (

Same here I can only see the half of the left one and I can scroll to see the right one. But the thing with me is I really don't care what's on them.

Banners

I think they worked for the Tank Awards, but now it's just kind of a nuisance - they don't dim with everything else when you're watching a flash, and they clip off the flash window if it's a wide movie. Plus they just kind of appear to be floating there and don't blend in like the Tank award ones did.

I agree but I don't care to much. I quite like that they stick out and dont blend in. I really like the idea of despensible areas on websites. It's like having a banner ad only you get to choose the content & what difference it makes.

(Only posting screeny to see if mine is as wide as yours, and also to fit in with the crowd)
