Does anyone else watch Dexter? The last episode of the current series (or last series as it is now) had a terrible ending. I was not happy. It kinda made sense but I did not want to see that happen and it's basically a big "well.. what now?" sort of cliffhanger :(

It's sad, but that's how most shows on the telly are. They Pavlov you out with 4 episodes, take a mid season hiatus, leak out about 6 more episodes, leave you with a cliffhanger, and a warm fuzzy "fuck you" message that says something really intelligent like, "See you in 2012". You see, I used to watch 'LOST', and I'm pretty sure they invented this formula. Curse you J.J. Abrams.

They kept the event kinda quiet last year until the last minute... luckily (conveniently?) they plan it for the weekend before GDC so everyone down for GDC can go to the summit.

Anyway it doesn't look like they made any official notice of the award nominations being open, so take a look and nominate some flash games.

I'm not sure how nominations work (whether they judge all the nominations, or go by which games get the most nominations, or a mix of both), but it couldn't hurt to nominate.

I found this browser that's based as if it was a game, and it's pretty awesome but pointless. Everything's 3D and crazy. It's still in alpha so quite buggy and for me a bit slow but that might be because I have a terrible PC. Looking at really long pages in one long screen is pretty nice as well, but it's too annoying to use properly. You can also do 'co-op browsing' online but haven't tried it yet.

Just spent the day installing XP and loads of drivers on my newish desktop :)

I had an average gfx card in, but my motherboard wasnt happy with it and would ditch the drivers i installed after restarting. I found a better gfx in my office, put it in, loaded up the drivers and straight away it worked.

That fucked me off a bit, but i'm now cheering ;)

I've noticed an awful lot of american TV shows do that :/ None do here in the UK, but our series are substantially shorter than in america too. Our series last 6 episodes (sometimes, but rarely, a series will last around 10) whereas in the US you get shows like How I Met Your Mother lasting ~20 episodes per season :/
