My opinon is that Halo 2 is better then Doom but Doom 3 is better then Halo 1

Well actually, Marathon was out well before the first Doom game and, Marathon was set in the Halo universe. And I love Halo but I don't go making a topic about it.

If this thread had some better arguments, such as WHY Halo/Doom/Anything else was "way better" then it might not be so pointless (and "Great Cinematics" is not a reason for GOW). The way I see it, different fps games offer different advantages. Half-Life 2, for instance, boasts an impressive physics engine and the memorable gravity gun. However, if you wanted something that was more on the lines of shooting up massive crowds of enemies, then Halo would be a better choice.
Personaly, I thought Far Cry was an amazing game. Its outdoor missions had some of the most open ended gameplay I've seen in a long time, something that many fps games lack. Not only that, but it was also a hell of a lot longer. As JasBa said, this is all about opinions.

You're only saying that becuase you probably suck at Halo.
