How good was Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence? *right title?* I played Metal Gear Solid 3 and lost the disc...but loved the game. I found both all the frogs and got through the game without any alerts, and made sure i got all the secret fmv moments too. But never got that damned alligator head thing...so is it worth it me getting the Subsistence one?

p.s i would have to buy a new ps2 aswell...i busted mine completely =S Gave myself two electric shocks trying to fix it in the first place. They are not pleasant at all.

hm... how did you break ur ps2??? y did u think u could fix it??? neways... if you have the ability of getting internet on the ps2, then get the game no doubt about it! i'd get it for the online alone. now if ur not that lucky... then it's really ur choice weither 2 get it or not. the free camera makes a huge difference in the levels tho. and the secret theater is hilarious, AND the msx versions of the games are great. so u really get alot more than the main game.

the people online are pretty good they can hand out headshots like it's nothing.Is it possible to auto lock on peoples head?someone tell me how to do headshots!!!

u don't lock on... u hold r1 and l1 to do the sighted aim, and aim at the head

Well, that really depands on how much you like MGS: Snake Eater. Sure, Subsistance has a great camera angle that makes the game a lot funner and easier, but since you pretty much did everything in Snake Eater, the Story mode doesn't have too much to offer. The best thing about Subsistance is the online play, so if you have Playstation online, DEFINETELY get subsistance. If you don't, than you might consider getting it since it's only $30.

Yeah, that can be a little annoying. The secret behind it is to learn how to shoot by just using R1, instead of R1+L1. It really cuts down on the time, but you have to kind of guess where the bullets are going to go.

freeze, cqc, interrogate, throw 2 ground, take his gun away.
or if i'm in a bad mood shoot his balls off

what i do is grab them, take there items, stun them, and drag them around, infront of other gards.

makes it look like snake is bum-loving them, and making the other gards comfused by it.

I was wondering, do any of you have trouble playing MGS on they're PS2? I know its not the disc because Im good at not scraching/breaking it. It might be my PS2 because I bought it when it first came out.

I had a similar problem a while ago, cept with all games in general. If its only MGS then its probably the beginning of a broken lazer. If its all games, its a broken lazer. Either way you'll probably need repairs.

I had a warranty when mind died, so I got it totally replaced, with a new slimline one :D.

i'm getting really good at headshots now because I increased my FPV rotation speed from 1 to 10.That way I can face the enemy much faster and aim at the head alot better also.im suspecting alot of people did the same.
