Guess this game!

Well I was wondering if people knew video games as well as I did, and I decided to find out.

I'm gonna give clues to games and see who can guess it, once it is guessed I will confirm it and go onto a new game question.

So I'll start with a rather hard game, this game has been on my mind for a while, I believe its an old Super Nintendo game, and 2-D of course. It's a game about 2 cavemen who fight monsters, not sure of the original plot it's been so long since I played it. Anyways there were bosses like a giant Venus fly trap, a giant Pterodactyl, things like that.

Anyways I haven't been able to figure this game out so if you figure it out, props to you!

Just to have a little fun, I wanna see if anyone knows this one (I thought about it for a while). It may be hard or easy depending on if you played it but here goes:

In this game, you and a few other high school kids are chosen and given powers by a man in a white & black mask named Philemon and you are trying to figure out what has happened to your town and are trying to solve the problem. The one small hint that I can give is that the kids are from a school called St. Hermelin. Let's see if anyone knows this!

Oops my bad, didn't realize Toca had the same name on the cover. I was actually referring to Gran Turismo.
