People will have different opinions. I have voted 3 on things that have been blammed. I have voted 1 on things that have been saved. I don't think I was wrong. I don't think we should be judged on whether our opinion is similar to the majority's opinion.

To tell the plain truth I watch the movie and vote 0 or 5. I mean, If you do like the movie you want the score to raise, right? Voting 3 or 4 on it isn't really going to raise it much. But I only vote 0 on REALLY crappy animations, the ones that are like less then 200 frames. But then again, I vote five on poor entries that have some kind of poteintial to pass the portal. I vote 0 if the author says "well atleasr its betta dem ur movie! oh yea and ur movie has a lower score" THAT pisses me off, especially if the movie sucks and my movie is like 3.02 and his is 2.01. But then again, that has only happened once.
I agree with this issue. This is a problem because shitheads out there are blaming quality A+ work while letting shitty entrys fly pass the portal. This is a serious issue because this is a grave injustice to animators who actually give a rats ass about Newgrounds.com. Those shitheads deserve A ASS KICKING!

Yea I agree with you all the way. And I only gave 1 person a 0 because it was that bong song which he said he made it himself in the vide, which is totally not true becuz he said he recently made it up which if you look up Parody songs on Napster or Kazaa or a p2p program you'll get the BONG SONG which he stole, So thats the only time i gave a 0.

u can get protection points if u vote a 2 or higher on movies in the 50 most recent column in the portal. u can only get them on the ones at the top in bright grey. and if by the time they have 100 votes its average is above a 1.50 youll get a protection point. on the other hand if you vote a 1 or 0 and the average is lower than a 1.50 then youll get a blam point.
well i TRY to vote fairly. but if there is submissions that come from like strawberryclock, i right a way vote 5 even if it sucks because i know that whatever strawberryclock submitts is protected because all the clock crew ppl vote 5 on it. The thing is, if i like something, because it has something that I like, but i know that other people wont necessarly like it, i vote 0 because i want to get a blam point. BUT if there is something that i REALLY like and has bad score, then i call my friends to vote 5 on it to save it. I realized that A LOT of people are a bit hard on peoples FIRST submission.
Anyway, i dont think that the thing of the + and - isnt good because then if its protected, it wont have a score to start with!!!

You can tell who just submits crap but putting together a piece that is exceptional is rare that is why those that are great get on the front page most times.
