Ok, so last week I posted about there being a new section coming... Some of you partially guessed correctly at there being a PSP wireless section, but thought that was the beginning and end of it. However, we're also accommodating users who don't have a wireless connection (and do have a PSP), so they can go ahead and download wallpapers and videos to their computer and then port them via a USB connection to their PSP.
Stamper and I have been working hard on this, so I hope you guys like it. For those of you who don't have a wireless connection for your PSP, you can still get all the goodies... The layout in the PC version of the PSP pages is pretty bare at the moment. The PSP users who're on wireless get the caramel, the PC users, for the time being, will have to deal with having the biscuit.
Despite the simplicity of the looks of each section (and content that's in there), the backbone behind all of this is reasonably hefty and will allow us to quickly deploy new content as and when we get it, more or less instantly.
We've had great feedback from a number of artists who have all expressed an interest in getting their work into the videos section, so expect that to be fattened up within a reasonable time frame.
The help sections will all be elaborated on over time. For example, I plan to write an extensive tutorial on setting up your PSP on your wireless network in scenarios where you're having to go beyond ad-hoc setup. However, if you're still having problems with everything, for the time being, check through this thread. If your query isn't explained there already, give details as to what you're having problems with.
If you're thinking of starting a "DS > PSP" based debate in this thread, please don't - the DS doesn't yet have a browser built into it (although I'm told that's on its way), so that kind of argument has no place here. As soon as the DS DOES support a browser that's capable of doing what the PSP currently does, I promise, we'll get you guys who own a DS set up with similar resources soon after all of that becomes available.
