Best Flash author of 2005 2005-12-30 13:29:14

Hi there, since 2005 has come to an end (well, almost)
I think it would be cool to let people know who was the best flash author on newgrounds of 2005.

I have no idea who it would be, there have been a lot of cool submissions on newgrounds, so i can't really decide who made the best.

And don't just pick your favorite artist if him or her didnt really make much this year (like legendary frog, hes a good artist and loved by many, but he didnt really submit much this year)

Sooo.. What do you think?

Dont make dumb threads. Check the top 50 list and the author of number 1 is the best artist (unless they havnt been there for long)

Adam Phillips .

Those Bracknwood series are the best, but if Krinkels submit new Madnes - that should be a end-year competition...

1 good movie doesnt mean that he is the best author of the year. Adam Phillips only made 1 movie this year for example.

True, yeah, but...

cowers in fear due to level and post difference

This is Adam Phillips, he only really needs to submit one movie per year, it takes about that long to do 'em anyway. And seeing as you wanteed the best animator of the year, he IS the best that you can get, really.

please don't destroy me?

well little foot took technically 3 years to make and it was meant to be submit before prowlies.

I say though it is tied with four authors. You, adam, wonchop, and jerry jackson.

put some of that love here. the voting is still going on. and this "best author" thing is broken up into artist and programmer there. not that this thread isnt valid, but the awards voting is almost closed.

I say McBean, he didnt get king of the portal for nothing you know. His flashes this year were hilarious, and he made a lot of them.

And adam phillips' movie he submited this year wasnt THAT great. it was nicely animated an all, but it lacked story.

The thing you have to apprechiate about Adam's work is that he's created a whole world out of these obscure characters, everything is creative and unique. And that is what not just makes great flash, but great films and books aswell.
You can see this in the introduction of littleFoot, when the "flower" turns into an animal. Also the animation, and the backgrounds were magnificent.

But the storyline, i agree, it is a bit slow moving, but if you don't like it... just go play SuperSoldier or something

I'm not having a go, it's a great game :D

Woah, I know, sorry, it's just I thought the topic was about the best animator, and however much I like your great works *embarrased emoticon*, in my opinion Adam Philips IS what this topic is about.

And adam phillips' movie he submited this year wasnt THAT great. it was nicely animated an all, but it lacked story.

Again, I only said this in thinking that the topic was about best animator, in which case I believe that Adam Philips is the best animator of all time. Prove me wrong by all means :P

True about the story though, it is slow and simple, but he makes up for it in other ways. Sorry if I offended anyone :)
