Can you believe it's the end of the year already? Today is the first of the month and the first day of monthly voting for best of November!

Our panel of top users have until December 7th to log in and cast their votes for best of November. Log in to see if you are on the panel!

All ten winners this month will receive the BROKEN SAINTS DVD. This is an epic series that you can watch right here on NG, however the DVD version is completely re-mastered and worth adding to your collection!

All ten winners will ALSO receive the entire Cartoon Smart collection on DVD, a $250 value! The lessons are for Flash and focus on lip syncing, caricatures, run cycles and more!

The 10 best submissions from November will each also receive a certificate, $250 and a t-shirt.

In other news - we are now featuring Audio Portal submissions on the front page! The Audio Portal is a great place for Flash authors to hook up with musicians and avoid using music from major studios without permission. It's also a great place for everyone to find some great music to listen to! We have lots of plans for the Audio Portal, but like everything on the site, it all takes time to implement. We appreciate the support of everyone who has continued to contribute to the Audio Portal.

As for Audio on the FP, all I can say is LOL (see pic), and I really hope that the AP will get the full revamp it deserves in 2006 - if only to make my load as audio mod a bit lighter, but also to give NG's talented musicians the recognition, and fair voting system, that they deserve.

I know liljim is not keen on getting any other programming admins employed by NG (I recall Wade saying that they'd complicate matters), but is there any plan to get some more staff to help him plough through his 'never-ending list'? I mean, maybe someone could be contracted JUST to deal with the AP side of things - even though I'm aware that it's responsible for a minute fraction of NG traffic, it's always where I (and I'm sure many other NG Flash authors) go for my/their audio.

Because it's not the same icon as the other ones in the audio portal. It's also based on data that is, at the time, static vs dynamic stuff.

Does that mean we can now email you audio files larger then the default size limit if we feel it's worth the extra space like users do with Flas submissions?

One of the biggest problems I've found is that most of my songs are so long that I have to reduce the quality to next to shit in order to get it to meet the NG size requirements. Not that I'm bitching mind you, I'm just cursiouse to see if, since Audio is now on the front page, if we can emailer you larger files in order to insure we have a fair shot at the front page.

I didn't really like littlefoot that much but it clearly deserves to win for the animation quality. My choices are all very obvious this month but I think they all deserve it.
