I've found something weird about when we blow the whistle on stolen flashes. The rules say:

"This movie is stolen" - Use this option if you are certain an entry has been submitted by someone other than the creator. After blowing the whistle you will be asked to indicate from whom or where the entry was stolen; provide links when possible.

Tehy tell us to provide links, but at the right bottom of the text box that we have to give a description why that movie is stolen, they say:

No HTML, please.

How am I supposed to give than a link without giving a HTML? I put the link to the original submission, they wanting it or not.

Just type in the web site address with no link tags... they can still copy and paste it into their address bar. I'm pretty sure that's what they mean, probably because link tags don't work in whatever place they store all the whistle comments.

Still not whistled, need a few more to push it into admin review... I had a look at his other submission as well and I'd put money on that being stolen from youtube.

Just copy and paste the link as it is. For example, http://www.newgrounds.com isn't HTML, but it automatically turns it into a link if you type it. It may not auto-link in the whistle message, but as long as the link is there, fine.

Colonel is about 6,500 B/P away for you, so you still have a way to go, but I'm sure you'll get there in the not too distant future. My B/Ping tactic is to think about the smaller picture - dividing the ultimate goal up into much smaller goals.

It is from the same author that submitted the stolen flash posted here today (which got deleted).

I'm not sure about it, so don't flag it yet. Anyone knows if it is stolen or not?

Whoops, I guess I made a mistake. He isn't the author of the stolen flash, but I'm still suspecting that one... In the flash there's a small copyright thing in the bottom left. I tried going into that site but I couldn't find it. Well, let's see if someone can enter that site.

Well, since almost all active Flash Portal users know where it comes from (since it comes from NG), it was quickly flagged and taken down. I didn't even have time to take it to Rage's, before it was flagged off the Portal. That guy must be a real idiot, taking someone else's work, that most NG users can see and have seen on Newgrounds itself, putting it on the Portal, and admitting that he took it from the secrets section.

Thanks both Sentio and NEVR. I didn't get that at first instance, but now I understang it. I always put links when I report stolen flash, and lately there have been quite lots of stolen flashes. At least more that usual, it's not everyday that we see more than two stolen flashes in a single day.

I don't know either. I usually Blam video submissions after watching them. Seriously, I still think YouTube is the right place for videos, not Newgrounds.

People also vote based on the size of the Flash. Look at this, for example. The guy has a point there. People vote high on high filesized submissions, blindly. It's a shame, but we deal with it.
