Summer holidays have just started and already I'm averaging around 60 B/P a day, which I haven't done since early 2009, which is great!
Not a bad rate. I usually average around 40-50 B/P a day during the week. I haven't had a good B/P run on the weekend in a while, so we'll see how well I do without that pesky "work" in the way.
Is anyone participating with Robot Day in any way? I'm making a flash myself and if you'd all like I'll keep you all posted on progress. I feel I should be more active in the barracks since my holidays have just started and come next year I'll be doing work I love doing; Art.
Can't say I am. However, I'm glad to see some talent spinning around the Barracks. Keep it up!

I don't live in the boonies or anything, quite the contrary; my town the second biggest city in the state, but our medical facilities are horrible. The next town over isn't so bad, though.
Ah. One of those situations. I can relate.
Will do, after I finish level grinding, B/P'ing, and my other daily activities. :)
Also, moving back to the topic of stories, did you ever finish the Barracks Under Fire story or make a sequel? Just wondering if that was one of the stories you were talking about.
Yep! Epilogue and all. Actually, if you had to ask me, I'd say the epilogue is my best writing in the story. But, of course, that's natural. When you write a 60,000 word story, the story is practically one huge practice for the epilogue... :-)
I'm going to (slowly) migrate the stories over to the new forums, but you can read them in the old ones for now. Also, just so everyone knows, the old forums aren't going anywhere for a while. They'll be there for archive purposes, of course.

I'm still interested in the "New Recruit Orientation Dominatrix" position... Or maybe the soon-to-be " Dark Queen and Ruler of All That is Not Linux" ... I'm open to suggestions...
I hate to tell you this, but the EGB Forums run on Linux. So there. :-)
Looks like the new job isn't so hard after all! Glad to see that our fearless leader has in fact shown more exceptional leadership by taking responsibility for the EGB forum. Well done, indeed! (next step: integrate the new forum to the website I put up - and then, after that - THE WORLD! mwuhuhuhaaaaaa!)
And then after that...cookies. Yummy ones.
I requested to register. Where's my approval? What do you mean I have to wait 10 minutes! You call that service! just kidding....
I can see I'm not getting a tip for this order.
I did look around - and I found the "make a new logo for the forum" thread. Here's my first shot - what do you think?
I like. The only issue is that the way the theme is, the top of the logo actually is parallel with the very top of the page. So, it looks slightly cut off.
I'm going to use the image for now (so we have something better than that other stupid image). However, don't let that deter others from trying as well! End result...if we get too many good submissions, I'll hold it to a vote.

Also, I'm a MOD on the forums, don't forget! hehehehe! Looks like I'm right in line to be 2nd in command in Byte's new world order.
Weren't you listening at all? She said she's the ruler of all things NOT Linux. Pay attention, will-ya? :-)
Does anyone remember the Calvin and Hobbes comic strip where Calvin's Dad gives Calvin an allowance, and he immediately turns evil and maniacal? Yeah.
Actually, that reminds me...moderators for the new forums will be primarily based on the officers of the EGB. This doesn't mean I can't mod someone that I feel should be one, but it'll at least give us a strong base of moderators. Here's how it goes:
Chief Barracks Officer - Full Administrator
All Executive Officers - Global Moderator
All Officers - Basic Moderator for the Ground Floor forums
Records Officer - Also a Full Moderator for the Records Room
Portal Violations Officer - Also a Full Moderator for the Portal Violations Desk
Like I said, that's moderatorship granted by rank. I haven't figured out what else I want to do yet with mods and stuff. I do know I want at least one other admin, at least to be able to administer users (for activation, permissions, etc). But I'm still working on it. :-)
