I just set up iChat on a Mac here in the office for iSight video chat and I don't know anyone with iSight to test it with! Does anyone out there have iChat with iSight set up?

If so, you can try connecting with me - my username is TomFulpChat. If I don't respond, I'm either busy or already have three people in video chat. I hope I'm not unlocking a total crapstorm by announcing this on the front page. :)

ack...i DO use ichat and ispeak on my ibook, but the internet registration for my student ID screws up when i unplug it from my PC and put it into my mac.

i dont use a mac, but thats down to both a lack of funds and lack of experience with the OS.

although im VERY curious about it, as far as i can see it is basically just like any other OS but flashier, and apparently less prone to attacks.

cant think why that not many NG users would use a Mac came from, from what i hear macs are far better for flash development as well as photoshop etc. seeing as NG is primarily a flash site i would have thought a good chunk of us ARE mac users.

I have an isight and ichat, but i don't use ichat. It would be interesting to see if it would work all the way across the pond (im in the uk)

Yea, that's why most people think Mac's suck too. Lack of expierence and funds.

True. I dont have virus protection, but still have never gotten a virus.

yea, i have ichat.. it actually works with any kind of firewire video camera, so if you're curious to find out how it works i'll connect with ya some time; i use my mini-dv camera.

Well Mac should be thanking you now cuase im sure your going to have millions of people rushing to get a mac computer to use the Ichat and get a chance to talk to you....good luck and sry if this plan backfires on ya

I have a mac and I have iChat, but I don't have iSight. I believe iSight has a built in mic and uses FireWire or USB to connect? My mac mini doesn't have a line in, so I would need another mic connection.

glaeil, you don't have a virus because the only other macintosh user online doesn't feel like making one.

I have a Apple PowerBook, and I have iChat, but no webcam. :P (incase you didn't know, it doesn't have to be an iSight, any old webcam will do.)

Do you mean you have a ".Mac" account? If so, everyone you chat to will have to have a Mac, as there is currently no .Mac client for M$ Windows.

Too much stuff made by apple with an i infront of it. It makes it very confusing.
