Well, this is usually Earfetishes area of expertise, but I'll give it a shot. We don't think they're all around unintelligent just because they believe in something we dont, we basically just talk about how dumb religion is not how the people in it are dumb (except for the catholic preist because of the molestations they've done before and the what you call overly religious people who try to convert and forve us to believe) but yeah we just think the beliefs are dumb not the people (most of them anyway), I've said this many times before I dont just go around denouncing god to religious people, whatever you want to believe go ahead and believe, whatever makes you happy. I keep my opinions on religion in this thread not anywhere outside this thread unless I discuss it face to face with another atheist. That may just be due to the area you're living in. I've never been called opressive and neither has any of my religious friends.

We don't hate religion. We just become rather aggressive when religious people come here and tell us our beliefs are wrong and we're going to burn in hell. Which they don't seem to grasp: We don't care. But I'd think you're a little out of line to say religion is peacefulness and loving, ever read the old testiment? Hell nearly all major religions say that if someone believes differently to what you do or tries to convert you, you must kill them. Religion is (sometimes) full of death, homosexuality, suffering, racism, sexism etc. It all depends on what you believe in and whether you want to follow it.

Oh yeah sorry for the double post but I forgot to mention, about the statement that religion encourages love and peace, we believe you dont need religion to do that, your good intention of morals should encourage you to do that, not religion. That's what I believe as well as most atheist. Earfetish seems like a pretty smart guy, I dont think he goes around denouncing god.... at least I think he dont, but anyway the only thing that an atheist would actually follow in the bible if he or she chooses is the morals because they're good to follow in life and because they're not really religious beliefs they're more of positive psychological expectations that you should live by as an individual, but everything else, no we dont follow.

Probably not, not due to believing or disbelieving in ghosts but it's so easy to make false video's and images of ghosts these days and pass them off as genuine.

Indeed; if I'm being foolishly skeptical by not thinking every ghost video I see is the real deal under the pretence that one of them might be and ghosts might exist, then I must be foolish. It would have to be a video that experts in that particular field thought wasn't fake, especially if the ghost had observable effects on its surroundings and I could test the ghost too.

There's no such thing as ghost, notice that the only ghost proof are from cameras, but not with the naked eye, thats because its called light reflections or just an edited photo to make it look like a ghost.
